Baja Fish Tacos is one of my favorite places for fresh Mexican food and have been to quite a few of them dating back to when they opened in Costa Mesa. The food is good at this location but the last few times I’ve gone into the restaurant with a group of mountain bike friends, the employees always seem unhappy and uninviting. I believe it’s because we arrive near 8:15-8:30 (they close at 9) due to our after work ride. They purposefully drag the metal chairs on the floor and...
The food is good and pretty healthy choices are available. We do the charbroiled fish which goes really well with the picked onions in the condiments bar. The peppers in the bar are exceptionally spicy, watch out. The pico is always good. They use high quality ingredients, in my opinion. I used to go to the original location in Costa Mesa for a long time and when they expanded I was worried the quality would go down. It didn't, but naturally the prices are up with inflation....
After going to Baja Fish Tacos a few times, I am really not a fan of their food. To me it's overpriced and you don't get much for the value of what you pay. The carne asada is so-so and the chicken can be dry.
