Absolutely incredible bakery! I stopped in and picked up a croissant and a chocolate bread, and both were beyond delicious—flaky, buttery, and perfectly fresh. You can really taste the quality and care put into each pastry. The croissant was crisp on the outside and soft inside, while the chocolate bread had the perfect balance of rich flavor without being too sweet. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a cozy, inviting vibe. I’m so glad I found this gem of a local bakery—definitely coming back for more. Highly recommend to anyone who loves quality baked goods!
The Best!! Period!!
Tasty! Get there early or you'll just see crumbs and a lone almond bar.
I tried to call at 2:45 to find out what pastries they had left. I didn’t want to drive 25 minutes to find out the cupboard was bare. Long behold this G-d establishment doesn’t have a posted phone number. I drove 25 minutes to find out what I wanted to avoid. They were out of pastries (3 pm). How can a retail establishment not have a phone or phone number. I’m done with this place
UNREAL. WORTH EVERY PENNY. WORTH THE WAIT. We ordered about 8 items. All were too good to even snap a pic!!!
No other bakery in OC comes even close. The custard filled kouign amann, chocolate desserts, basque cheesecake, mocha coffee, and cookies (especially warm) are some of my favs. New stuff every week too.
Diotima Bakery is a gem!
The pastries here are absolutely amazing — super fresh, perfectly flaky, and have just the right amount of sweetness. You can tell everything is made with care and top-notch ingredients. I tried 4 different items and honestly, every single one was delicious.
Highly recommend!!
Such a cute spot! The pastries are amazing, and you can totally tell the owner loves what they do. Super friendly vibe and everything tastes homemade with love ☕️ 🥮
Love this bakery. I have been following Kian the Chef for sometime now. It was a pleasure to have him serve me the last time I was in. You can not go wrong. Every pastry, coffee cake, cookie, sandwich that I have had has been so delicious. I know you will be pleased when you come.
Absolute 5/5! Croissants are crispy, filled with perfect amount of filling, and sweetness is balanced. Kian knows what he is doing …
Everything sells within few hours, make sure to be there early, and prepared to wait in line

Diotima Bakehouse is the kind of place that makes you fall in love with pastries all over again. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the difference in every bite. They’re not afraid to get creative with flavors, but it never feels overdone—just really well-balanced and delicious. And their croissants absolutely unreal. Flaky, buttery, and so light they almost disappear as you eat them (which just means you’ll want another). If you love great pastries, this place is a must-visit.
Such a cute little cafe. The baked goods are DELICIOUS. They are all freshly prepared everyday and run out pretty quickly. The croissants are so light and amazing. I am out of words describing this place. They have a variety of drinks, i tried the mango matcha and it was interesting. Highly recommended for people who love their carbs.
Love this place. Amazing array of authentically French pastries and delicious coffee drinks. Def will be returning when in town!
This place is extremely charming and pleasant to spend time in. Clean, well lit, and not too noisy (no loud machines or music, just soft French music playing). The pastries are superb without being overly sweet. The vanilla coffee has vanilla bean floating in it, yum!! Can’t wait to bring friends and family back to try again!
Some of the best croissants and pan chocolate I’ve had in the U.S.
as good as in France if not better.
Super humble owner with attention to detail and great baking skills!
