Islands Restaurant The Shops at Mission Viejo

Came in at 8.51(9 minutes before closing) to grab a shake really quick. When I entered, I let the host know that I want to grab a to-go item, but for some reason she seated me at the table. I waited server for 10 minutes(it was already 9.01) to get “Oh, they actually just closed the shake machine” from her. Got a ruined evening because of the ignorance of the staff members.

We had an older serverer who was rude from the beginning. She sat us down near a back window and there were little bugs crawling on the window sill. I asked to move. The kids macaroni and cheese was dry and the French fries were overdone with some being burnt. I had to ask for straws for the kids. When she brought me our check she Stood over me watching what I was doing. Very disappointing .

Great Islands experience, as usual. It’s in the mall entrance with views into the mall, so fun for people watching.

The service was great! She didn't bug us but was attentive. We got the wave, burger and fries. The burger was delicious.The fries were cooked perfectly, and there were plenty, the most fries I ever got with a meal.
We took Half of it home for dinner... We started with a strawberry lemonade for our drink (refills were free)

Too pricy! For the quality you get is a rip off! American food not nutritional enough yet so pricy even during happy hour!

Food was tasty, service was ok. We came one hour before closing and it may have affected the service.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive... food was delicious. I recommend the Kilauea Burger, unique and flavorful. Kids menu a hit, especially mac and cheese, as well as new mini corn dogs.

Food is trash, zero effort involved and forgot ingredients on one of the most basic burgers. Place is going downhill quickly.

Hey Islands, show how you don’t care about your customers without saying it-

1- Send a bag of cold hard fries

2- Throw a block of cheese in the microwave for 10 seconds and drop it on top of burnt oily chips

3- Turn a sundae into a shake by putting a melted scoop of ice cream in a cup, mixed with chocolate syrup

4- Not even provide a napkin

Terrible, and I wouldn’t order from here again.
