I only come here for the flan. It is delicious!! Just like how my mom makes it at home. I live nearby, so I come as often as I can, and I always double check to make sure they have it. The man at the counter is SO sweet. Whether he remembers me or not, he makes me feel like family, which I don't feel a lot in this area. I would NEVER expect anyone to do this, but he even gave me a flan for free one time. He absolutely didn't have to do that, but it meant so much to me. I always come when I need a little flan to make me feel like I'm at home

Olamendi’s in Mission Viejo is one of the best authentic mexican restaurants iv been to. You can really taste the high quality food and comes with an adequate portion. The staff is very friendly and food is cooked quickly so no long wait time. Highly recommend!

I used to go here years ago and the food was good.. and I was really looking forward to some tacos today.. really disappointing.. Small portions for the price.. $18 and change. 2 chicken Tacos consisted of greasy chicken , a little plain lettuce and the teeniest tiniest bit of cheese.. couldn't even taste it !! Plus tasteless, bland beans and rice. Not to mention customers inside the store w their dog that was scratching itself in the corner... The staff seemed friendly, but for the price.. prob spend elsewhere..

...if you want authentic, great-tasting and flavor-packed Mexican food, this your spot! ... you get what you pay for...very fair pricing, given the quality and portion sizes of the offerings ...Pinto beans have amazing flavor...portion sizes on carnitas tacos and salad are twice what you get in many places... salad was as fresh as anywhere I've been, they even add fresh avocado to the salad.

First time here and it was so delicious!!! This will definitely be my go to Mexican restaurant in this area. The chile relleno and cheese enchilada were amazing! My husband had the chilequiles and was impressed. But don’t take our word for it- come try it yourself!

The mole poblano enchiladas are to die for, the ceviche is delicious, and you can’t skip the potato taco on a hard shell!The owner is really friendly, too, and loves talking about his mother’s recipes.Highly recommended any time you’re in the area!
