For lunch today I had the chicken noodle soup, ham & cheese sandwich and it was delicious! The service was good and the ambiance uplifting. Of course being at a bakery I also had 2 macaroon cookies yummy.
Great menu selection and something for everyone.
Highly recommended.

I usually really enjoy Panera Bread, but oh my word, this Mission Viejo location is certainly on the struggle bus. I’ve never had a “to go” order that has been correct, and we don’t know until getting home and opening up the order. Today’s issue was the fault of the cashier who entered in the wrong chicken sandwich and I didn’t know it until I got home with an inedible (spicy) sandwich. Also ordered a cookie, which wasn’t 1/2 price because a drink wasn’t ordered. Why order a drink when signs are posted that the drink machine is out of order?!??

I didn’t even bother calling the restaurant this time because on the previous occasions (once for the wrong soup from what was in the receipt, and once when a sandwich was missing ingredients and had odd ones included) management only said “Sorry, we will try better next time.”

Had lunch with 4 of us total. A couple of orders were incomplete with the turkey and cheese sandwich missing the cheese. An order was missing the side and had to ask for the apple. Also the new chicken cranberry sandwich was tasty however the portion was so small, almost an ice cream scoop on a half sandwich. The photo of it they have looks like it’s 2 inches high with the chicken salad, not worth the $10. Went to complain and got another scoop added on. On the receipt it states if your order is not accurate to let them know and you will get a special free treat. No one offered us anything. The bread of both sandwiches looked they had been torn in half rather than cut, had jagged edges. It’s been a long time since coming to Panera and I wasn’t impressed with this visit and will not plan to go back. Many other better options like CPK around the corner.

The worker said “we will call you when your order is ready.” We waited and waited for almost 40 minutes and the food was ready but our names haven’t been called. If your staff are just gonna talk to each other and not get the job done then why bother saying something like that instead of saying your food should or might be ready in a few minutes.

I will start on a good note, food was good. Management not so good, floors are filthy carpet is disgusting and smells sour so not much cleaning. Rip it out and do not put it back if you are not going to clean it. Signage for pickup area non existent. Soda machine ice lever has a broken spring so it will keep dispensing. Makes you think do they clean the nozzles? Order coaster buzzer they handed me is broken is missing pieces and broken. Lots of talking with lots of cleaning not being done. If you have time to lean you have time to clean. All management issues. Google maps does not show this place in the correct location. There is a chipotle right next door that has hard floors and no sour smell.

Aaron was amazing. We ordered our dine in a little early so he was able to accommodate us. The portion sized were perfect and very filling. The chicken Fuji apple salad had the right amount of ingredients. The chicken and wild rice was hot and ready.

Discontinued favorite Orange Cranberry muffins and Pumpkin muffins . There’s no reason to go to Panera anymore. The 2 for deal on the menu is always confusing. It’s never a deal so please list the prices individually to avoid all the questions.

I came in this morning to grab some bagels for our office staff and the manager who helped me out was okay. He wasn’t friendly but he wasn’t rude which is all I can ask for.I ordered the Baker’s Dozen and having worked at Panera when I was in HS almost ten years ago, I know and remember certain things such as… most people who order Baker’s Dozens are people who will bring it to some sort of gathering and they almost always prefer them sliced. There are the odd ones that buy it for their home and they don’t care as much about slicing but for the most part, it’s for gatherings and they always want it sliced with a couple tubs of cream cheese. So when I asked the manager to slice all 12 of the bagels, that was when he looked and sounded annoyed. He asked me “all of them?!” To which I said… yes.And instead of using their commercial grade bagel slicer right in front of him, he decided to use the hand slicer which requires more effort. He then stops what he’s doing and passes the task off to an employee named Parastoo. I was watching the manager the whole time and knew that he hadn’t sliced all of the bagels. So when Parastoo started to pack up the sliced bagels (all 5 of them) I asked her, “are all of those sliced” knowing that it probably wasn’t but I still wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Parastoo then answers me with a bunch of attitude saying “yes, they’re all sliced!”And what do you know? They’re not.I don’t mind that not all are sliced, it’s not the end of the world. It’s that she had an attitude about something that she was absolutely wrong about. Please retrain your employees and your managers. And seeing as a lot of your reviews are two starts or less… this branch absolutely needs it. Panera’s food quality and prices aren’t that great for the masses to put up with terrible customer service.
