Haven't been to this location in a while definitely not going to come back the manager Michelle was on FaceTime on her phone while she took our order. She got my boyfriend's order wrong and kept asking us to repeat ourselves cause she couldn't hear us over her phone. While waiting for our food she was still on the phone while she took someone else's order. Definitely disappointed in the customer service here and being on your phone while taking someone's order is very rude and disrespectful.

Food is good but the ordering process is terrible online. Ordered nachos got them was missing everything( self error not realizing the check marks are to remove the item not keep it. Order again because my mistake not going to punish them for me being dumb) made sure everything was on it and not "removed". Came home had no beans. They are fine otherwise.

We wanted to eat at the restaurant, and dined in and ordered at the cash register. //ENVIRONMENT// Seating for small parties, the environment is pretty sad and not clean! The salsa bar was so messy and clearly hasn't been refilled. The tables were dirty. It felt dirty being inside. //FOOD// Fish tacos were not bad! However it was interesting mine was hot and my friends was room temperature which made us wonder how long his had been sitting out. //SERVICE// This is what made us sour about the experience - 40 mins to get fish tacos! We had to ask when our order would be ready. The kitchen seemed very inefficient and no one was cleaning. I believe I saw a manager or owner on duty and she looked so over it, disinterested and looked like someone who did not care. I would not come back.

I frequent the Marguerite Mission Viejo location often this Rubio's is by far better than the one in Laguna Niguel and Rancho Santa Margarita. The store manager is awesome and always remembers my name I never feel cheated at this location. It's always up to par and always clean. The staff is always friendly.

Updated review to express that just like others who were old to submit to feedback, all I received was a "thanks for the feedback, we will pass it along!" Kinda response. 3rd time I received spoiled salsa!!! Also food quality has gone down incredibly since the days I'd eat here 3-4x a week. Incredibly disappointing.

I am beyond sad to write this review as I am a loyal customer 3x a week! So let me start by saying that this used to be one of the best locations I've been to... up until recently!! My usual order is the California bowl with chicken and salsa extra lettuce on the bowl. Usually my food is consistent with the portions and taste... now the food is so EMBARRASSING!! The protein portion of the California bow is sad to look at! Now I am not a big appetite girly I can easily make two meals from one bowl but now it's not even enough for my 4 year old! To add on top of a disappointing meal the customer service here also went down the drain. My food was to go and usually there are napkins, utensils and extra salsa. Nope not anymore the last 3 times I have to look for eating utensils at work! You think I would've learned by the second time but no I put too much trust in these employees.. how dare they do their job up to par. I would understand if they were busy and overwhelmed but they were empty with only one table already eating their food and the manger on the a laptop at another table. Manager tip: always make sure your employees are always Friendly! Petite young girl was not friendly or welcoming at alllll. This comes from someone who used to manage a restaurant with 10 plus employees so I know customer service is key! A thank you and you're welcome goes a looong way!! Anyway! Avoid this location as you will leave depressed and hungry!

This place have really good food and very friendly staff. Lecari and as very polite with smile on her face. The food portion is usually small but the food value is good. The place is usually clean and empty most of the time. Thank you Lecari for the nice smile on your face.
Came in on a Friday night and had one of the best dining experiences ever at a fast casual place. We were greeted by a few employees and the cashier (Elizabeth) was patient while we decided what we wanted. She had suggestions and answered questions. We ultimately decided on a fish burrito and the burrito especial with chicken. The food came out quickly and was delivered by one of the sweetest and friendliest people I've ever met (shout out to Sam!). Chips were a little stale but the burritos were delicious and the salsa was fresh. Employees worked hard during our entire meal refilling salsas, emptying trashes, etc. If you're looking for an alternative to the weekly Chipotle run, this is your spot!

I got a fried fish burrito here the other day and it was delicious! What was even better was the two employees at the register who greeted me when I walked in. Elizabeth thoughtfully and graciously explained the menu to me and gave me suggestions as it was my first time here. Sam was polite and offered above and beyond service as well! Rubio's is so lucky to have these two stars working with them.
