Came matter the gym for a quick bite. Had three nigiri:
- yellowtail was ok, texture was slightly stiffer than I’m used to.
- tuna quality was not great. A bit chewy and bland.
- eel was good.

Surprisingly, the rice was poor quality, a cardinal sin for a sushi restaurant. Also maybe this varies but usually there’s a little bit of wasabi under the fish in the nigiri, which was missing here. The green tea was watered down to the point I thought I’d gotten a lemonade.

Would not recommend. Maybe the rolls are better but don’t get nigiri or sashimi here.

The quality of the fish was excellent. We had a few rolls and sashimi- everything was delicious. Our server was extremely attentive. İf we lived in the area, it would be out go to sushi restaurant.

Sashimi is a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive. It appears to be run by a Korean family and is a popular spot among the locals. They have a sushi bar, but we opted to dine at a table. Steve greeted us and was not only friendly and helpful, but his service level enhanced our overall dining experience.

We tried a number of dishes during our visit. Among my favorites were the Veggie Tempura, Salmon Nigiri, Lake Forest Roll (I appreciate that they allow substitutions so I subbed spicy yellowtail in place of the spicy tuna) and Special Carpaccio S. The Spicy Salmon cut roll was nothing special and tasted more like a California Roll. The Yellowtail Cheek was good, but it was more meaty and less tender than I've enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. My wife ordered the Pink Lady, but I prefer my sushi with rice. All in all, we enjoyed our Sashimi experience and I'd recommend checking it out if you're in Lake Forest and in the mood for raw fish at a reasonable price.

Holly Molly! The best sushi sashimi in OC we have. 🤩🤩 The Chef gave us his secret item at the end which wasn't included in the menu and it was a big fat hit. Even though we were so full I wouldn't mind overeating again 😆

Not cheap but definitely awesome! Our waiter Steve was a rock star and the food was on point. So many awesome rolls and the freshest fish! Quality you can taste. Definitely stop here if you are in the mood for a sushi feast!

I love how this place is authentic. There are real actual sushi masters making the plates. The fish is really fresh and cut perfectly.

Surprisingly excellent and interesting sushi and sashimi. We wandered in here for lunch one day and sat outside in the patio which was nice. The service was good. Price is a bit higher but you totally get what you pay for. The quality, flavors, and quantity were all great. We really enjoyed it and if we lived closer would come often.

My Fiancé and I were looking for a nice place to dine on our staycation and that served fish because it Lent and he found this wonderful place.

The sushi and sashimi were fresh and delicious and the service was amazing.
We would definitely revisit again in the future.

Food was decent, prices were a bit too high for what it was. Went with a group of co-workers, people were generally happy with what they ordered. Service was responsive and friendly, plenty of parking nearby at this location. I tried the beef bento lunch and it was passable. I don't think I would make an effort to return here.
