The cool drive in ordering is very unique but last visit I just used the drive thru. The smash burger is one of my all time favorites and the slushes are amazing. Easily one of the best fast food options available.
Pay attention to the markings on the ground when you drive up to it. Their drive thru does a big loop.

First time at sonics, they get my order wrong drive thru.ok mistakes happen I understand.so I go back and I thought they had fixed the problem. So instead of double checking the bag I left .well come to fine out that they made another mistake but it was really late so I just gave up on going back again right ,just told myself never again .the next day I was about to start on dinner when I saw the bag with all the food from the night before when we didn't eat it because it wasn't what we ordered.so I grabbed the bag and went down there to return it. My wife tells me to just forget it .but no not this time ,I'm taking it back .so I did and the young man in charge of sonics(sorry I can't remember your name )but he is the closing manager the best .!I was impressed with this young man customer service. Great service and he is the reason why I'm going back to sonics .there lucky to have someone like him
Love sonic for the affordable meals and that variety of their slushes and desserts. Only problem I have with this location is that it’s on a busy corner that can be too loud to order at the stalls, but still great :)
Kid-friendliness: Kids love to build their slushes and there’s a lot of kids meals
This was our first and last visit. We thought it might be fun to order at a drive in restaurant. It was a horrible experience! The server was super rude to us. It took almost a half an hour to get our cold, disgusting, overpriced food!

Sonic in Mission Viejo, one of the rare gems near Laguna Beach. Five stars, no doubt. The location wasn’t too busy, the service was fast, and the chili dogs? Perfection. It’s like they knew I needed that comfort food hit, and they delivered
But let’s talk about the rainbow ? slush. At first, it’s all sweet, sugary magic, like something straight out of a candy dream. But by the time you hit the bottom, it pulls a sneaky move with some sourness. Honestly, I’d dial the sour down a bit, but overall, this slush was a fun ride, and I’d totally order it again
We couldn’t resist the 99¢ mozzarella sticks because, I mean, they’re 99¢! And naturally, we sampled the $1.99 menu with a cheesecake master shake and another chili dog because, well, why not?
If you’re cruising around Laguna Beach and need some fast food that won’t disappoint, this Sonic is where it’s at

The antique road show of self order tech. Shouting at the top of my voice they could not hear my order, so I gave up halfways through. No contactless or chip and pin payment on the terminal and so making secure payment is very akward
