Disappointed- Consistent Issues with Drive-Thru Service

We've now given this Sonic location a couple chances, visiting on separate days, and unfortunately had the exact same frustrating experience both times. Despite only a few cars ahead of us, we waited over 20 minutes in the drive-thru on both visits.

The same employee, Ellie, was working the window each time. While I'm sure she's doing her best, it was clear she was moving very slowly, laughing and chatting casually with co-workers instead of prioritizing customer service. This isn’t just about speed, it’s about professionalism and respect for the customer's time.

We initially thought it was a one-time fluke, but the pattern makes it clear this is a management issue. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of urgency and care at this location. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

I usually love Sonic's Strawberry Cheesecake Shake. This location never seems to get it quite right, usually missing the cherry or other ingredients. This last time was absolutely awful. The shake was pure liquid, I dont think any ice cream was used at all. They put no Graham craker crumbs and almost no strawberry. They did remember the cherry but this was one of the worst shakes I have ever had. Horrible to pay almost $10 for this garbage!

The employees at this location NEED to re-learn the definition of customer service.

On several recent occasions, my interactions with the employees has been combative, abrasive, and contentious.

I have left each of my recent visits to this sonic feeling annoyed, irritated, and frustrated.

My kids really like Sonic, but I am on the verge of complete 100% disassociation. Meaning, I will NEVER return to the restaurant EVER.

Low quality food, TERRIBLE service, and High prices… what’s not to like?

Food was good. Jake, who brought out the food, was very nice. My only issue was that some of the stalls are not numbered for pickup. This was my first time at a Sonic in California and I didn't notice any signage directing to one side for order pickup and another to place orders. So it was not clear enough. My local Sonic at home has a number at every stall.
