Summary, we like the place (MV/Marguerite). We'll be back. On Taco Tuesday the $1.75 price for tacos is the same as every other day from 3-6 (happy hour). Street tacos are better than crispy, red salsa is less spicy than green, chips are cold but plentiful and salty. The manager was very pleasant and the storefront was clean. Let's move on. Longer version: The owner(s) need to invest time in quality assurance. We see in the reviews here that each store has a lack of consistency and quality. (Our visit today was fine, I'm talking about mixed comments on Yelp.) That has earned bad reviews recently and over a few years for what seems to be a good offering. The inspection citations don't help but it seems that was a one time thing a long time ago. No prob, but it's on the record now. Take time to blog for staff, make sure they read it. Detail the importance of a clean and orderly environment. Ensure they all follow consistent methods in for prep and presentation. Make sure they understand all pricing, sales, and policies. Be sure they are attentive to the front counter. "Hi! Welcome! We'll be right with you!" (Yes, in English.) Without better and strong management, you get bad reviews and low sales - stores close, and we all lose. I'd write more but I don't think the owner cares about Yelp. He hasn't claimed this business page yet. If that's how they want it, then let the cards fall where they will. If they do care, they should pay attention to reviews/marketing, respond, address issues, and act more like business owners. I hope that helps.

One of the best fish tacos I have ever eaten. Takes about ten minutes for them to make your order, and that's because the food is fresh. I will definitely be coming back for more. Nice quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy in peace.

They have a promotion on their website - HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CAN SAVE UP TO 30% OFF YOUR ORDER EVERY FRIDAY. VISIT ANY OF OUR LOCATIONS AND PRESENT A VALID STUDENT ID So I came in tonight with my high schooler and ordered our food and they said they don't know anything about this promotion so they can't apply the discount. So I showed them their own website on my phone. Then the employee called the manager on her iPhone (which clearly has access to their website) and the manager told me they don't have access to a computer to look it up and would need to call the owner to see if they could honor it - even though I told her the employees can see the discount on my phone or their own phone. Meanwhile I'm sitting here waiting for the manager to call the owner and then call the employee to see if my food is even going to be entered into the system. I went to the Tacos & Co off Marguerite and Santa Margarita last Friday and had no issue. This level of service is unacceptable and flat out embarrassing. I've been coming here for years, just happened to see the discount last week for the first time on their website and decided to take advantage of it.

Ordered through DoorDash. Food was barely edible. Carne Asada street tacos were tough and grisly. Taquitos had a very thin strip of unseasonably chicken that barely filled two-thirds of the tiny rolled tortilla. Barbacoa burrito lots of filler, little meat. Will not order from here again.

This place was practically abandoned when I arrived to pick up my order. I started to serve myself some salsas and someone finally came out. The food was packed super tight which didn't allow me to check the accuracy of my order but thankfully everything was there. The rolled taquitos were hard and overcooked, the shrimp taco was a bit flavorless and sour. Last but not least is the burrito gordo with asada. The burrito was fat but barely had any meat due to the generous amounts of inedible fat that I had to pull out of the burrito and my mouth as I bit into it. Tacos and Co used to be a good place to eat but it has taken a major nosedive with the quality and even though it's the day before Thanksgiving they could at least focus on making sure the food is properly made. It tasted like they served us microwaved leftover's and didn't care about the old stale chips or expired salsa that was at the salsa bar. Next time you think about Mexican food avoid this place unless you want to have yourself a huge dose of disappointment.

The restaurant is filthy. The table had not been cleaned, the salsa "bar" was a mess, bathrooms looked like a gas station bathroom and even the windows and sills looked bad. The chips were stale and the portions were tiny. We will never go back. There are many choices for Mexican food. I can't believe this passed inspection. Save yourself and avoid this location.

Food is not very good. The chips were stale, both the ones with the burrito and the nachos. Even the burrito just tasted so bad. I would not recommend this place for any type of Mexican food. There are tons of other places in the area that are so much better. 0 stars if I could. Never again.

The restaurant is filthy - none of the tables had been cleaned, boxes and a dolly cluttered the edges of the space, floors and kick plates were horribly soiled and everything appeared to never be cleaned. Makes me wonder about food prep tools and surfaces. Staff were not friendly, and food wasn't good. Carne asada taco was too tough to eat. Chicken taco was only ok. Won't visit this spot again.

First time trying this place because we were needing a fast lunch before getting back to work on a Saturday afternoon. Small place, near Ralphs in the same shopping center. Basic type interior with plenty of seating. Tried the bean and cheese burrito (added tomato and lettuce) and it was very bland and mediocre. The B & C at Ronaldo's is way better. Did appreciate the size of the burrito and the amount of cheese. Comes with chips on the side. But the beans and tortilla were just lacking in flavor. The staff person that took our order was nice, she brought the food to our table. Great salsa station with some HOT options! They had the pickled onion, carrot and chiles which is a definite plus. So hard to find decent mexican food around MV! Just have to stick with my mom's cooking :)

I really wanted to give this place a shot despite the negative reviews. When I walked in, the staff were on their break and they were quick to go to the register and take my order. They welcomed me in and were patient as I perused the menu. There were no other customers there at the time, which should have been my first clue. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and chicken burrito to go and the total came out to $24.76. It was nice that they had a salsa bar. I got some red salsa, green salsa, and pickled vegetables. They were quick with the order and had it ready for me within 10 minutes of ordering. When I opened the food up, I saw that the burrito was small and very oily and that the enchiladas were small as well as the sides of rice and black beans. The enchiladas were perched on a small bed of mixed salad that looked wilted. Both the burrito and enchiladas came with a small side of chips. I took a bite, expecting a big crunch, and was disappointed with no crunch from the stale chips. As I ate, I noticed that everything was pretty bland from the enchiladas to even the salsas. There were quite a few burnt chunks of rice. The chicken in both the burrito and the enchiladas was cold and had a hard texture, as if they had been sitting out for days. The worst part was when I was eating the pickled vegetables and noticed an odd shape. It turns out that there was a dead fly in the pickled vegetables. The next thing that caught my attention was the hair in the box of enchiladas. If you can only tolerate sour cream being the most flavorful part of your meal, I'd recommend this place. Otherwise, I'd recommend somewhere else like Chipotle for freshness, flavor, and a greater degree of authenticity despite the fact that it is only Mexican inspired.

The carne asada tasted a couple of days old and was full of fat and grizzle. It made my stomach upset.

Your coming here for the authentic Mexican food for much lower prices than anything around. Not fancy and location looks a little run down, but when your getting tasty carnitas and chicken street tacos for around $2 per, and a little salsa bar, it’s a win. They’ve got amazing happy hour deals from 3-6 every day as well. Quick service and friendly environment with Mexican music subtly playing while you eat. Good experience for lunch!

I ordered online and went to pick up at appropriate time. They were surprised and hadn't even started prepping my order. They found my order and then proceeded to prep. No apology. Food was ok. Not great.
