Worth the drive, looking forward to my next visit.Dietary restrictions: Birria was delicious I have dietary restrictions, unfortunately I am lactose intolerant and cannot have cheese. They made my plate with love and labeled it very clearly from every other plate. So happy and can't wait to return again

The best birria in San Diego! Definitely worth the drive. There is always a line but it moves quick. They have both takeout and dine in options, and you can call in your order in advance. With dine in, they take your order and then you wait for a table to open up. It can be hit or miss - sometimes no wait, other times can take a little bit. However they do have open seating outside so you can do takeout and just eat it there too. Everything here is so delicious! I really enjoy the standard birria tacos, quesatacos, and the birria con nervio which is a birria taco with some tendon. The tendon melts in your mouth and adds an extra punch of flavor. Definitely get a consomme to dip your tacos in. It's a messy meal but so satisfying. This place is a San Diego institution!!
The food is good for the price, and have a fast service, you'll get your food within 5-10 min depending on how full the restaurant is. Is a children safe place and offers a really nice experience.

Definitely it was 2022 best birria, cashiers service is good but once you enter everything change. The ambiance is like being at the sobre ruedas in Tijuana, waiters and waitresses yelling at each other. The food is not what it was... time to improve the service and the recipe

Best Birria I have eaten! Reds does not stand up the Ed Fernandez. The birria is so flavorful itself. Dip it in the consome, and the flavor elevates! Consome is a must. When fished w tacos etc, add the cilantro, onion and a squeeze of lime and eat the consome! Service is very fast, so dont let the long lines fool you. All the employees were very friendly and welcoming. Inside is organized chaos! Its small but the food comes fast and its so good you cant put down your birria! Had fresh made guava juice w our birria and was delicious! If you are a Reds fan, you MUST try Eds
