“Everything was delicious! We enjoyed gyro wraps with spicy yogurt, spanikopita (super fresh and flavorful), and Greek fries (plenty of feta and green onions). Everything was incredibly fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. A gyro combo with one extra topping and tax is almost exactly $18. They have the usual selection of sodas plus 2 flavors from Tractor.

“My first time at Picasso’s was yesterday for lunch. I ordered the Rafael (French Dip) and a side of macaroni salad. My wife ordered the Kingman and a side of Tomato Pesto Soup. My wife enjoyed the Kingman stating that it was “On Point.” However, she has not stopped raving to everyone about the Tomato Soup. She likes it very much and stated it was the best Tomato Soup she has ever had. My sandwich was so delicious. And in our current state of affairs, where restaurants are raising prices while ignoring providing quality options, this is saying a lot.”

Ordered from a nice young lady, I'm assuming it's a family business. Family business is always the best start for good food. Grabbed some carne asada tacos. Reached under the foil to sneak a piece of asad. Knew I was in for something fantastic. After finishing the first taco, I could confirm that the tender, perfectly seasoned sneak peak I had of the asada was absolutely accurate through the meal. Everything tasted and looked fresh and delicious. The price was also right. I did wind up spending $22 on myself, but I got 5 tacos and this horchata is massive lol. So happy I tried this place. My wife and I will absolutely be back! Unfortunately, she had just eaten. So she was only along for the ride lol.”

“Just leaving the heads up if anyone needs it. This is the third time I order from here. Never had issues until today. I decided to get the family meal. I always triple check what I’m getting charged for. I made sure I don’t get charged too much. (Had option to choose) it was 29.99 including for 2 shakes. When I went for pickup, I was told the app did not charge me extra for the shakes. They were charging $3.49 extra for each shake. After I had paid. Please fix your app for the future. Luckily I was able to only get charged for one shake. I also didn’t see options for shakes online.”

“Very good experience. It was warmer inside the restaurant than it was outside with doors open, keep that in mind if you like a air conditioned restaurant.

The service was very good, attentive the whole time. We had simple breakfast avocado toast and egg for my colleague and for myself, simple American breakfast.

They follow the instructions quite well on crispy hash browns and bacon. The top layer of the hash browns was a deep golden brown.

Sourdough toast had good flavor.

The coffee was mediocre, but I've had a lot worse.

The guy I was traveling with kept getting bit by a bug he thinks maybe a mosquito probably because the door was open. That forced us to leave a little bit earlier then planned.

Overall I probably wouldn't return to this place because of the hot room and bug bites. But the food and service was good which is why the review is a 4.”

“This was the first time that I went into this coffee shop/health food store. It’s in Modesto right by where I take my dog to get groomed in so I spotted it and wanted to come back to it. They have tons of interesting vitamins, and healthy foods but today was about getting a coffee. Cold brew is always my go to. They don’t have any syrups or pumps of syrups available, but they do sweeten it with monk fruit. So I did a cold brew with monk fruit, and a splash of half-and-half. And it was very tasty. The guy is working in there were very friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated and I will definitely be back.”

From the warm welcome at the door to the goodbye at the end, every detail was handled beautifully. The staff had noted the occasion when I booked and made the evening feel a bit special without ever being over the top. Our table was lovely, our server was a complete pro, and the food was honestly some of the best we've had in months. Every course was a proper step up. The bill at the end was very fair given the quality of the whole experience. New anniversary spot, properly confirmed. Already discussing next year. Lovely.”

“We have been trying taco spots all around Modesto, and this one is not receiving the praise it deserves! All the meats we chose were delicious! Carne asada was the most flavorful I’ve had in a long while of trying different spots. We got the carne asada, pastor, pollo, chorizo, and cameron tacos.. All bomb! My favorite was the super pastor fries! I had to cut myself off from eating more even though I was full.. they were addictive. Beware! Seriously though.. a solid spot for tacos.

Update: I haven’t since tried everything on this menu and I’m telling you this guy does not miss with his food. From the tacos, to the vampiros, and even the torta was awesome! Still so so good!”

“Gold Dust Modesto is one of THE BEST pizza places in town. The pizza is excellent, the staff is genuinely friendly, and the store is cleaned thoroughly every night, like clockwork. “Helped host a Drag Bingo event here, and I had never been before. What a delight! The staff was so kind and upbeat, and the entire night was such a positive experience all around.

I am personally not a beer drinker, and hardly a seltzer drinker, but I tried their Build Your Own Seltzer and was so happy with the tasty combinations I could make. I will probably ask for double shots of syrup next time I go back just because I have a sweet tooth, and I will definitely be back!!!”

“Charlie's Seafood truly exceeded my expectations. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, but the highlights were absolutely the Molcajete Kora, shrimp empanadas, and fish tacos.

The Molcajete Kora was phenomenal—served sizzling hot, packed with bold, authentic flavors, and perfectly balanced. Every bite was rich, savory, and comforting, making it a must-try dish that really showcases their culinary skill.

The shrimp empanadas were crisp on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The shrimp was well-seasoned, fresh, and paired perfectly with the accompaniments. They were so good we wished we had ordered more.

The fish tacos were equally impressive—light, fresh, and full of flavor. The fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and seasoned just right, and the toppings complemented it beautifully without overpowering the seafood.

On top of the amazing food, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. Charlie's Seafood is a place we’ll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommended for anyone who loves high-quality seafood with authentic flavor!”
