“It was a chilly January evening, and the everlasting call of cheap fast mexican food was screaming my and my fiance's name. We cruised the streets of Modesto, looking for a quick but satisfying bite to fill our tummies after a particularly trying evening.

We found a lone Del Taco, which admittedly I haven't had the pleasure of dining on for approximately 13 years.

The drive through was empty. We approached the order screen, overwhelmed with what appeared to be too many tasty options to choose from. A particular craving of fish tacos consumed me. The warning in my head to not indulge in fast food fish conceded to the rumbling of my heart (or maybe that was my tummy?) And I proceeded to order two of them, along with a cheesy, meat filled burrito. My better half, acquiesceing to the flavorful chicken tacos tastefully advertised on the screen.

The employee behind the microphone was patient, understanding even, as we took our time to order. In the dark-but-not-too-distant alley behind us, we could hear the thumping of mexican musicá as we ordered our food.

It was delivered promptly, and we pulled to the side of the parking lot to dine on our reward, mariachi in the background.

It was a night I will never forget.“

I also thought they’d have more of the mix-ins included but it was maybe a good 3 pieces for the mixing bowl blizzard. And what is it with the line order takers telling me which car to remember to pull behind when the lines merge? I tell them I'm not going to pay attention to which car I need to drive behind in order to get my order. What's next? “Decided to quickly order on Instacart to make it easier.
I know everything is ordering In apps these days and standing at the counter and waiting for someone to help you and take your order has now turned complicated and uncomfortable while waiting over 5+ min to even be acknowledged.

But this KFC is completely opposite then every other fast food place; they greet you when you walk in and acknowledge you that you just walked in wanting to order ….and not grocery shop …
My order was ready when I arrived and I did let them know what a good job they are doing and how clean this lobby is especially!
Lastly, hot Summer days call for more visits at all KFC because of their delicious ice cold PEPSI!

“I like this location lately. I forget that this part of town has 3 pretty good fast food places to eat at and the New Cantina Chicken tacos and burritos is FIRE. Delicious and freshly made. Melted cheese on the side of the taco is pretty good. Also Im not of an “inside diner” but the cool nice environment inside while have “PEPSI” products keeps me cool during summer!Asking for refills doesn’t bother me since a lot of “thefts” happening to the dining room soda machine, but I think keeping the machines behind the counter is safer and cleaner then a random stranger walking in carelessly “using it/breaking/stealing it”“
