18 Best Sandwich Shops in Modesto

“My first time at Picasso’s was yesterday for lunch. I ordered the Rafael (French Dip) and a side of macaroni salad. My wife ordered the Kingman and a side of Tomato Pesto Soup. My wife enjoyed the Kingman stating that it was “On Point.” However, she has not stopped raving to everyone about the Tomato Soup. She likes it very much and stated it was the best Tomato Soup she has ever had. My sandwich was so delicious. And in our current state of affairs, where restaurants are raising prices while ignoring providing quality options, this is saying a lot.“

“Love this location at 1801 H St Suite E2, Modesto, CA 95354. Definitely recommend! Come support your local business!“

“Wow!! The best sandwich I ever tried! The boy who took my order with the best attitude, caring and friendly.“

“The subs are of fantastic quality and make a mockery of subway by comparison. Service is usually very good but sometimes we get someone who seems kind of confused and loses track of our order or fumbles pretty bad, and the atmosphere is pretty typical fast food. The subs though, holy cow! Super filling, super fresh, super satisfying.“

“Excellent customer service and amazing sandwiches!“

“I have not been to a Subway location that has had this type of service in years!! The food was fresh the sandwiches where made perfectly. But good food can be found anywhere what really got me is the service we got there during beginning of rush hour and we're a family of 5 the two employees there work so good together to get our orders done correctly, fast, and continued a conversation with us and other guests there behind us. We felt welcomed and will definitely come back!! Whoever owns this location I hope you know that you have the most amazing staff I have seen in a fast food locations for years. Thank you again Mia and Raj. 🙏“

“I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and their serving portion is perfect. Both the girls worked patiently with a pleasing smile. I did the order for dine in and right away they wiped the table. They both are absolutely best for their job. Thank you for the experience(:“

“Excellent!!! The owner, Paul was great, his staff was great and the sandwiches were great.I ordered 5, 6' subs with all the trimmings, as I was blessed to provibe a meal for 100 hungry men. They were a big hit, and everyone was more than satisfied as the individual sandwich slices made a big sandwich each.Paul delivered them himself on time and ready to go. The packaging and the presentation of those huge sandwiches made a big impression as everyone made an enthusiastic complement.“

“Stopped by Subway today and had a great experience. The sandwich was fresh, perfectly made, and loaded just the way I asked. The bread was soft, veggies were crisp, and everything tasted clean and fresh.

The staff was friendly, quick, and paid attention to details. The place was neat and organized, which always makes a difference.

Definitely one of the better Subway visits I’ve had. I’ll be coming back again soon.“
