“Stopped into Super Gyros shop off McHenry Road in Modesto. The guy behind the counter was super friendly. They are also supporters of our EMS and Police. The had two American flags on the wall. One with a blue stripe and one with a red stripe. Lots of meat on the Gyros, and thr hummus portions were huge. We will be going back.“

“Enjoyed the grilled Halibut with lemon, capers, and cream sauce dinner with perfectly cooked vegetables and white rice, and a house salad. And our server, Kyle, was excellent and welcoming. We’ve had Kyle as our server at lunch and he’s always happy, welcoming, and an excellent server. Highly recommend you try Mike’s Grillhouse for lunch or dinner. They have a great variety of choices in their menu. You won’t be disappointed. Their portions are plentiful enough to be able to split a meal if you don’t have a big appetite. They have a Beer & Wine only license, I believe. The Wine Margaritas are very good. Try them— in shopping area east of Costco— You won’t be disappointed.“

“My husband and I tried this place for the first time last Monday. It was great! We had the outside area near the outdoor fire to ourselves. The food and drinks were on fire LITERALLY. The portions were very big so I would say it’s worth the money. Two people could easily share an entree. The drink didn’t taste that good and they did forget to add shrimp to my pasta but besides that it was a very nice night. We would try this place again!“

“Dewz is a great place to have dinner while in Modesto. You would think there were not a lot of great places to dine in such a small town, but there is, and this is one.

We got there a tad early and had no wait at all. The place is very pretty and it is kept in great shape. Even the bathrooms are nice. They have a full bar and a small wine list, which is nice. Make a reservation for weekends.

The service is here is great. You are seated and someone is right with you. They check on you, but you are never rushed, and your food comes as ordered and hot.

We love all their items. I love their simple salad, it is just a great way to start dinner. Their starter calamari is great with spicy marinara aioli lemon wedges. We also love their pork belly with Korean BBQ steamed bun cucumber jalapeno cilantro daikon-carrots, it is just great. I hate having to pay for bread and their bread is $12.00, to thank I say no thank you. Also, baked brie is also great, but very filling. It has strawberry preserve pickled strawberries pistachio walnut thyme blackberry and balsamic toasted focaccia bread--now I have bread.

We love all their steaks, but especially their Prime tomahawk, pan roasted and served with seasonal vegetables, all sauces and your choice of starch. It is huge. The price depends on the size and what the market price is, You will love it. Get it rare.

The prices are up there, but reasonable considering what all you get and the wonderful service.

“Bella Italia is very nice place for dinner while in town. It is not the best ever, but we were quite happy with almost everything we ordered. The place is really pretty and the prices are fair.

We just loved the service. We were seated straight away. They have a nice wine list. Our server knew the menu well and was fast but we never felt rushed. I would make a reservation. We were there on a weekday and ate early so we were in great shape.

Most of the food we had was great. The minestrone soup was just perfect. We also loved our salads. I had the chicken marsala and it was just so melt in your mouth wonderful and packed with yummy mushrooms. We also had the ravioli in a white sauce that was so good. I would get that again. Finally, we had fried ravioli and it was good, not great. That I will not try again. There is just too much thick crust for me, but you might love it. The ravioli within the crust was very good.

All in all we would come back. We just loved the service, the calm atmosphere and the vast majority of the food.
