“Outstanding authentic Mexican flavor. Tastes sooooooo good! If you like tacos (and who doesn't) you MUST try the menu item called "3-Taco Birria Pulled Beef" with cheese/lettuce/tomato. I was blown away by the rich flavor. It's served with a cup of delicious broth on the side which is great for dipping. I'm always craving this meal. Another recommended choice is the deep-fried Quesadilla with marinated Birria pulled beef. This one has fresh veggies on the inside and is layered with a rich, tasty cheese on the outside. I can't stay away from this place!!!“

“Ordered some sandwiches for lunch, when we went to pay the lady behind the counter noticed I put no tip. I called in the sandwiches. I drove there and I picked them up. They had to do absolutely nothing extra except for their job and then wanted a tip on the end of it. Tips are for when you go above and beyond not when you’re doing the bare minimum for a pick up phone order. Good sandwich, but probably won’t be back“

“We LOVED every aspect of our lunch at Destino’s. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful and the owner was so accommodating to both our dog and toddler on their patio. The patio and inside of the restaurant were both decorated with such warm charm and coziness. The owner even took extra time to reccomend local activities for us to do with our toddler. I would highly recommend this resturant for anyone looking for a yummy family outing.“

“I am a first time customer and I would say the service here is great! There were 2 waitresses working at the time I came in and both were so kind and accommodating. I sat by the kitchen area to charge my phone and noticed all the workers has great work ethics. It was nice to see. I ordered the spring rolls, and they were delicious! 😋

“It’s a small but cozy and it feels more home-like than restaurant style. Food is top tier especially for being in the Central Valley (I’m originally born and raised in the bay so I’m really picky about my food). This is one my favorite places to eat in Merced, I’ve eaten here a handful of times and their food never disappoints. You can tell the chef pours a lot love into the recipes. My only complaint is I wish they were equipped with more than one high chair. During my recent visit, I dined in with my one year old but there was another family already occupying the only high chair they have.“

“I've been coming here since I moved here Merced back in 2010. This has always been my most favorite restaurant that when my two children were able to eat regular food we'd let them have pho and it's our family's most favorite place to dine out whenever we have the chance! Their food would always come out with good quality and flavor, service has always been quick, they have always been so kind and welcoming, and the restaurant is always clean. It's definitely a place I'd recommend for eveyone to come and try out.“

“I was out in Merced for work, but found some comfort at The Mainzer. Solid food, and solid service- I think I described it as a bit of “a hipster” vibe, which is NOT a bad thing. If I’m ever back in town, I will definitely come back and enjoy another BBQ Burger and beer!“

“I feel like I was raised in this place. The owners are family, and you can really tell. I left Merced a long time ago and I’ve been all over the states and the world, but I swear to God, those shredded beef fried tacos with the mild salsa will always be my home. I miss this place so much I wish I could teleport. Thank you to all the people who’ve kept it running all these years. Your meals made a home for me there.

“This restaurant reminds me so much of someone's hometown visit to savor mother's home cooked food. No frills, down to earth and unpretentious. You just get good food and service. May not be for some if bright lights and modern decor is your thing. Loved it.“

“My wife and I love this place. There food is always good and the staff is great. I will day they need more staff lol. I got a little one who is kind of wild sometimes (ASD) lol and they are always kind to him. They get pretty busy, other then that they have a lot of great food options. I would recommend trying it out if you havent.“
