“Listen, I am picky when it comes to Mexican food. My grandma‘s set the bar high. And there are two specific dishes that I always order at a new restaurant, and that is Caldo de Res and Chile Rellenos…these are basic dishes but I’m beyond snobby when it comes to them. If they mess these up then I will never go back. Lupita’s Homestyle Cocina exceeded my expectations. The chile relleno was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Lupitas only cooks caldo de res on Thursdays and it just so happened to be a Thursday when I ordered. The Caldo de Res tasted like home. I know she used the beef bones to make the broth because you can taste the oils. It was cooked to perfection with big chopped vegetables and nice sized chunks of beef. We also ordered the pick 3 and got Chile relleno, chicken enchilada, and a chicken chimichanga. It came with a nice sized helping of beans and rice. I got a monster burrito with beef and it was no joke! HUGE burrito and it had everything I wanted in a burrito (beef, whole beans, rice, cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo. The sour cream was on the side and it was served with your choice of red or green sauce over it. Bomb. I got a flan for desert and oh my goodness. I seriously didn’t expect much because the food was good enough. But dang, that flan was spectacular. The perfect consistency and the Carmel top of the flan was so creamy and smooth. It didn’t have that burnt taste that a lot of flans have. All in all, I was impressed by every dish. I would say that the refried beans were a bit salty, but the Mexican rice more than made up for that. I took time to write this because it deserves praise and hopefully gains more business as its location is tucked away behind the KFC on Oakdale road.“

The tacos were top tier, delicious in every way conceivable, I'd give them a 9/10.
The torta was good, the meat was delicious and was the star of the show. The bread left something to be desired. Overall an average torta.

“Jessica's taco truck have been here for years, and they always seem to please my appetite, as they have all different types of meats, and different plates. Their food is freshly made, and the meats are juicy, and tender.
Theres plenty of parking, and as well seating under their covered earring area. Just try not to pay attention to the train that passes by,as well you occasionally seated bagger.“

“The quality took me back 10+ years. I have not tasted this legitimate quality of burrito and tacos in over a decade. Between the Bay Area, the Southern part of the Central Valley to the Modesto area. It's been over 10 years, and the best Burrito still REMAINS on 8th Street!

The burrito flavor sent chills down my spine, anchoring me to past memories to when quality was worth your money. Customer service I received was also top tier with positive, helpful, and cheerful attitude.

Stopped by in the morning which typically has some homeless strolling around which was typical years ago and apparently seems to have not changed. I'll have to return at night to see if the vibe is still there.

Really enjoyed coming back to this taco truck. Prices are definitely reasonable and when accompanied with my favorite part, coming here is non-negotiable for my family moving forward, even if it takes us driving across town.“

“I'm literally obsessed with this place. I found out about it on Tiktok. I'm from Turlock so anytime I'm in Modesto I make sure to go. I always get their chicken family pack and it comes with beans, rice, macaroni salad, and lots of corn tortillas. I also get their pork ribs with bbq and omg it's the best! They grill their meat outside so when you pull into the parking lot you could see and smell it. I always take it to go, and they're very fast with your orders and friendly customer service. They have nice seating inside too with big flat screen TV's. Honestly guys I'm Mexican and have tried a lot of places but this place is definitely a hidden gem. A little hole in the wall 🩷“

“My go to food truck when I’m in Modesto. Staff is always friendly, food is consistent and there is always parking. Prices are also good, especially when compared to the Bay Area. There are two benches to sit at, but not a lot of shade. Definitely recommend overall.“

“I went here because we drove by and I haven’t been to this flea market in a while. Walked around. Grabbed a churro and was hungry. Stumbled upon this place and I’m glad I did. I ordered a Gordita with asada and my wife ordered 2 tacos. Handmade tortillas and I tried 4 difference salsas. So good. So nice and warm and FRESH!
