“I really enjoyed coming to this restaurant after our first visit here last Saturday. The service was great and our server explained the menu well. We ordered a plate of carne asada, ceviche, molcajete, and tacos. Everything tasted really fresh, well seasoned, and homemade. The serving size is more than filling. This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Lo disfruté mucho gracias!”
“Food here is amazing. This is the second time I've been here and we loved the food both times. My main gripe is that it was very slow and the server wasn't nearly as attentive as the bus boy for some reason ?I may be wrong but I seem to recall that it is a Server based restaurant. We had to get up and ask for basically everything after we received our food, including our receipt and boxes to go.Great food, ok service”
“This place is a hidden gem in Modesto. If you haven't tried Frida's you need to. I've drove by it many times I don't know why I never stopped after having lunch there today with my family. We found a place that's different than any other in Modesto superior in flavor superior service. Overall I would give them 100 stars for the way they treated my family and the service the food. They truly are an amazing establishment. If you're driving by Frida's stop in and give them a try don't pass by. Oh yeah, almost forgot the flan is just delicious”
“Don’t let the outside of the building scare you! Took the family, food was awesome and the staff extremely kind. The asada super burritos were hot and full of great flavor and the slices of avocado were super fresh. Loved every bite. The rest of the family had tacos, chimichanga, and a plate of rice, beans and fries for the kids. Everyone was very happy with their meals. I also ordered a horchata that came in a large mug which was excellent as well. Service was friendly and generous, though with the limited staff food was a little slow coming out, but there was plenty of free chips and salsa to snack on while waiting.Kid-friendliness: Staff was kind to our 3 young kids, and helped move tables together to accommodate our family. Restaurant was quiet and felt safe for our one son who is on the spectrum.Parking: Parking in the back of building. Gravel lot.”
“Being from Socal, the Mexican food in Modesto in general is horrible but this place is really a hidden gem. Tried many places and I think I finally found Modestos best kept secret. The place isn't the most welcoming, it can use an update/remodel because it looks like a taco shack out of Tijuana in the hood but do NOT let it fool you, the food is better than decent. My family had tortas ahogadas and burritos and when you order the food, they actually take time MAKING the food which I appreciate a lot. Trust me, I can see good food in the making, unlike most Modesto places that already have everything prepared making it un-authentic. The inside isn't the prettiest but it's the food that counts and here definitely it counts. The down side is that because it's located in an industrial area, they close at 3 pm everyday. So, if you want that delicious food, you have to get it early. Parking is also limited, this is a place where you pass by and if you see a space then you eat there but if you don't see space then you move on. I'm really reluctant to tell the owner, who works there with he's wife and family to really consider remodeling the place, because that will bring more people in my estimation. Especially if more parking is added. Now, my favorite part is that the cooking area is cleaned, a very big one for me. Every spot I go to I always try looking at their kitchen, it tells you a lot. I got to say that I'm really impressed with how clean they have it. They try making an effort for design and for that I give them credit. The only reason they don't get the 5 stars is because they are lacking some really good authentic salsas. Some thick Molcajete Guadalajara style salsas. But, the food is better than average and this place is my #1 in Modesto for now. Highly recommend the torta ahogada which is about a foot long and you'll need 2 ppl to eat that because almost everyone cannot finish it by themselves. Overall, this is by far the best I've come across here in Modesto. Give this hole in the wall a try and I promise you that you will not be disappointed.”
“The is small business w/a cozy atmosphere. There's both table & booth seating. Complimentary chips, salsa, cabbage & bean dip. Service is friendly & prompt. I ordered the steak Drea's Sweets Salad. Very fresh & made to order. I'll definitely go back. Recommend.Dietary restrictions: Low carb, diabetic.”
“Love the lunch menu from 10am to 3pm. Great deals and selection! Really enjoyed the chilaquiles, not too spicy with great flavor and not soggy. Comes with rice and beans. The salsa is very tasty! Large dining area with a nice bar. The service is quick, friendly, and attentive. Food is very authentic. It's a little hard to find, off of a busy main road. Large parking lot. Plan to be back and would recommend!”
“You Can't beat 4 tacos for $5. The sauce is spicy and delicious. The tacos are worth the drive! The only catch is they sell you everything on the side if you want extra condiments but you can't really complain for great tacos at a very low price! These ladies making your tacos know what they're doing!”
“Best fusion in Modesto! Don't miss your chance to try this amazing and healthy food! Not greasy, quality ingredients, and always a smile when I'm served ??Parking: Convenient location near the mallKid-friendliness: Friendly atmosphere. Safe.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible without stairs or ramps.”
“This is my favorite street stand of all. All I have to say the food is so delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and moist. Fast order and they are very nice customer service. I ordered a burrito and 1 of each meat taco. Service doesn’t speak English, it was a bit of challenge for me.”
“My boyfriend kept hearing about this place from his coworkers so we decided to give it a try! And we are soo happy we did! It's not close to home but worth the drive! The quesobirria was juicy and tasty! And the carne asada fries were delicious!”
“I work downtown and it gets hectic traffic wise around lunchtime. I was able to call in my order and was told it would be ready in 15 mins which was perfect from the time I clocked out and drove there to get it it was ready ? will be going back again soon! Thank you all for your service”
“Absolutely obsessed with their Salchipapas, one of the many delicious plates they offer!! Their "Salsa de la casa" is so top just like the aguas frescas especially the Horchata my favorite. Amazing environment to chill after a stressful day with bomb music. The service is one of the many things i love about this place, so well maintained and clean. We noticed some changes in the ownership, and it's honestly the best thing they could've done! 10/10 recommend.”
“Rice & Beans had excellent flavor! The texture of the masa on the tamale was also good.. it wasn't dry. Took off a star for the green sauce- it was too bitter. Other than that everything was good. It was our first time here and we'll be back.”
“Stop looking for a pupusa Place!!!! do yourself a favor and try this place out! Honestly, the customer service was above and beyond the call of duty, the ambience was perfect and they have lots of space where you can sit down and have a meal with your whole family very clean, I will definitely come back and recommend this place to my whole family. If I can bring at least 30 members of my family to this place I will call it a success. We got some pupusa's and some tacos and a torta. Everything was very tasty and delicious lots of food in the meal and meat, etc., they give you the right amount for what you pay. They even give you utensils, napkins, and extra curtido for the pupusa's. I don't think five stars gives this place it's justice!!! if yelp had 10 stars, I will give them every single one of them ! Keep up the good work you guys because you just gained a new customer as of today I appreciate your professionalism and your kindness as I was there getting dinner for my whole family, I bought 18 pupusa's, and boy were they delicious!!!!!!! Can't wait to be back SOOOOON !!!!”
“Kind of in a sketchy looking strip center but inside, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The workers are incredibly friendly and the food so delicious. I've been to tons of Mexican restaurants in the area and I think this is the best (maybe tied with El Fuego.) ?”
“I was visiting with a couple other ladies. Our food was good and came out nice and hot and was very delicious. Two of us were gluten free and then offer corn or flour chips and tortillas which made a great difference for us. The waitress kept checking on us and did good with that. One of us ordered a virgin drink due to being pregnant and one had a regular drink. I really don’t like the fact that the virgin drink was $5 more than the regular mixed drink. Other than that, everything was good.Dietary restrictions: They helped with Gluten Free restrictions.”
“5 stars all day, every day! I love the food here. I've been going since I was 16, I'm 37 now. My dad used to take me here and when I started going on my own he remembers me on a first name basis. I wish I still lived in town to go get some of the best taco truck in the area. ??”
“Best burritos in the 209 hands down crazy how good the burritos are and how affordable also everywhere else 10-12$ some 15$For a burrito here regular burrito 8$ super burritos 9$ and this place burritos beats the competition by a long shot not even close”
“Tried this place for the first time today, and it was so good! We tried the crispy quesabirria tacos, and some regular al pastor tacos. The quesabirria tacos were pretty good, but the al pastor tacos were some of the best tacos I've ever had! I highly recommend this truck!???”
“This some pretty good Mexican grub here!! That smoker outside is working overtime and the flavor is hardcore good! Beware when you come here because your clothes WILL smell of smoke even if you don't wait in line for a long time. The tacos de lengua, tri-tip and carnitas were just so good here!!!”
“Jessica's taco truck is one of the only taco trucks in the valley I've ever visited but their quality food is so good that I will keep coming back and there will be many more trips to Jessica's taco truck in the coming future”
“WHITE PEOPLE! This is where you're gunna wanna be if your looking for breakfast burritos in the am Allright. I just had the absolute best breakfast burrito, that I have had in quite sometime. It was 10 bucks...and it satisfied my soul. You can't find soul pleasing action for that price these days.... made me cry a little. And the cabbage salsa... You judge these places by their salsa. This is the spot no question. Not sure how I over looked this little gem and their coveted breakfast burritos. I'll be back, I'm not even hungry and I'm going back for seconds. You won't be disappointed! They have plants all over the place and a waterfall. You're going to love it here. And best thing is....they have the BREAKFAST BURRITOOOOO. Thank you....6stars. ”
“I ordered from here late a few days ago and ended up here by chance due to another truck having a long wait. Well we we’re in luck to stop here. The burritos we got were some of the finest, nice and toasted. Jessica’s used to be our go to by deflation but now I have a better option to choose from. Thank you to the guy who made our burritos with love. Good job!”
“Ordered on DoorDash and everything was fantastic. We had never tried Salvadoran food before. Got the pork and cheese pupusas, one bean and cheese, and one spinach and cheese. Meat tastes great, but spinach and cheese was my fave! Plantain empanadas and rice were amazing too. The rice is not Mexican red rice, but we knew that going in, and it’s delicious. Pupusas come with a really yummy salsa dipping sauce. Tomato based and the right amount of spice.”
“Fish tacos aren't on the menu but I asked in the window and she said "claro que si mija" and they were bomb. Lots of fish on the taco and perfect amount of cabbage and sauces. The salsa was perfectly spicy. Tacos Gobe were also delicious. Love that this is close to home.”
“bar food and the feeling at this place is super good. This location is absolutely outstanding. I've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. This place has a great feel to it. This place has many great reviews for a reason.”
“BEST taco truck!!! The only taco truck my husband, my family & I go to! If you're looking for a good taco truck this one is it. My husband and I usually get there burritos or tacos because that's what we like most & they always hit the spot every time we come. Customer service is great. If you order through the phone for pickup it's always ready when they say it is. ( seen a review that most of the reviews are family, not sure if it's true or not but I'm not family with them just a regular customer. ) definitely come check this taco truck out!”
“Came to Modesto for an errand and as I was heading back home, (South Sacramento )noticed their signed, and decided to give it a try, and was not disappointment, He made me a raspado of Guava and nance and it was delicious! Natural not sweet at all which I love?too bad I live far to just come to get a Rasado but anytime that I’m around here will definitely stop by.”
“I was driving by and was really hungry so i decided to stop in this lil shopping center that 3 trucks, but this one had the longest line so i thought it must be worth it....and it was. I got a super asada burrito and a jarrito for $12. The meat was seasoned perfectly and this mans salsa was spicy.”
“I have been hearing about this restaurant for a very long time now.My children have eaten there many times with friends,or their Dad.The restraint is just a few houses from where I live, but I just barely ate there the other day with my little brother, who actually took me there.I had a delicious asada torta.Mmmmm”

“The food is great!! A huge Smoker in front of the building will bring you in, it did for me. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. They have another site on mcHenry Road.*** if your not sure, I encouraged you to go in on Monday & Tully. Taco’s are only $1.50 and they are big! The shrimp taco’s are only $3.00.It is a small place and a little hard to find…follow the smell.”
“Always a fresh, fast, clean and delicious meal here at Lonchera Mariscos Colima. When you walk up to the outside dinning area you will notice it is always clean and somewhere to sit and enjoy your meal. You will get prompt, friendly service in English and Spanish. If you don’t speak Spanish well, this is your chance to practice your Spanish while learning and loving the culture. The gentleman at the counter is always ready to answer questions with a welcoming smile. Please enjoy your food and time here. There is plenty of parking. Outdoor dinning only. Bring the family and enjoy your time and meal.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide openings for the outside dinning that you can safely get a wheelchair through as well as the dinning table are wheelchair accessible”
“This is one of our top places to get tacos! We make the drive from Vermont to make it happen! Wait, wait I know you’re thinking Vermont and Tacos don’t go together- you’re right! I was born in Santa Maria, CA and lived and eaten tacos in New Mexico, New York, and been to Baja California and puerto Vallarta in search of great tacos and these guys are legit. It’s a pain living in a taco desert like VT, but being so close to great MTL tacos is a real treat!”
“(Translated by Google) These tamales are very good. Those of Pork are a bit very spicy but very delicious. These are the best tamales in Modesto.(Original)Estes tamales es un muy bueno. Las de Puerco Estes un poco muy picoso pero muy deliciosos. These are the best tamales in Modesto.”
“Amazing! I usually drive over the border to get birria but my father in law recommended this spot. It did not disappoint. Flavorful meat, good quality, and handmade tortillas. The line to order gets long but the staff is very friendly and attentive. I recommend getting here early.”
“I'm on a quest to find the best street tacos in the Bay Area. So far, Los Tres Tacos in San Jose is the King, in my opinion. I came up on El Rey and must say, they were worth the 60 miles round trip drive. Had nice flavor. The Gent who ran the food truck was also a humble and accommodating guy. I always appreciate good service.”
“This place was not only the biggest taco truck I have ever seen, but the food was delicious. The cucumber drink was way too sweet, and they didn't have water. But if you're looking for delicious food at a super clean taco truck, then this is it.Parking: There is a small parking lot for 6 cars, but plenty of room on the extra, extra wide street. ?”
“My favorite is the "Hawaiiana" with ham, grilled cheese, grilled pineapple, smoky chipotle sauce, avocado, and onion, all on a bolillo roll. Last time I had a tepache arreglado, it was refreshing and so good. Their menu is extensive--it includes all the D.F. style tortas, tacos, sopes, breaded fish, and aguas frescas or sodas. Everything is delicious, I highly recommend them.”
“Absolute Favorite! The meat melts in you're mouth and the staff treats everyone like family. My fist time in I accidentally came in 5mins before closing and when I realized I had already sat down. they insisted it was ok when they brought me my food. Even with it being closing time they had fast service and never bothered me to try cleaning around me or rushing me out.Kid-friendliness: Staff and environment are very friendly, and they have a fountain inside! ⛲️ (they have highchairs too)Wheelchair accessibility: Very open with plenty of room to move around! (Single doors might be a squeeze)”
