Best Mexican food in Modesto
Stepping inside this place felt like going back in time and I mean that in a good way. It looks like it hasn’t been renovated since it opened in 1988 but overall it’s a warm, classic look. Our hostess/server turned out to be Petra, one of the owners. She was very nice and attentive. She was quick to bring our drinks, chips and salsa. If you want a delicious, home-inspired meal, look no further than Familia Juarez. Ordered the Chili Verde and Taco and Chicken Enchilado combo. Piping hot, fresh, and an authentic reminder of the bustling streets of Mexico. The tacos do need more flavoring with a slight dose of salt. Muchas gracias to the owners for their hospitality!

The food is fresh, tasty, and of high quality, with excellent service. The restaurant has a beautiful, comfortable interior despite its unassuming strip center location. Friendly workers and loyal customers make it a hidden gem, with customers returning for years to enjoy the unmatched flavor that keeps them coming back. The enchiladas, tacos, guacamole tacos, and chile rellenos are some of the customer favorites, but the entire menu is amazing. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and provides a great dining experience for both small and large parties.
