Starbucks in Modesto

“The morning crew is always kind, cheerful, helpful, and get my drink correct every time. I love coming here in the morning, as it brightens the start of my day!

The afternoon crew, on the other hand, are always rude, dismissive, obviously don't want to be there, and get my drinks wrong constantly. There is an employee there with the name tag "Manny" who gave me half the normal amount of whipped cream, when I paid for extra whipped cream, and then when I asked for it to be corrected, he refused to help me, and the girl he was working with rolled her eyes at me and added a tiny spurt to the top. Since then, they have been extra cold towards me, try to make me leave, and give the bare minimum. They make the drinks extra icy, as I did an experiment once getting the same drink in the morning and afternoon, and the one in the morning was made perfectly, and the one made in the afternoon was an icy, flavorless mess.

As a manager in the fast beverage industry, I know how difficult it can be to go through rushes and make every beverage correctly while still maintaining a smile for the customer. But there is never a rush, and it is never busy in the afternoon, and I can't help but to wonder if it's because of the lack of care from the employees on duty during that time period. The biggest rush always seems to be in the morning, and my drink is never incorrect, and I always feel welcomed even in the fast-paced environment that is a morning rush in the world's largest coffee chain. A huge difference from the snotty behavior of the afternoon crew.

All in all, definitely come to this location in the mornings, but plan on the rush causing you to wait a little longer than usual! Avoid in the afternoon at all costs!“

“I'm that kind of customer that wants everything perfect customized, 👌 in this starsbucks, they understand how to make my drink, thats why this is my favorite store, I told them all the time and today Lilly helped me and she was nice and polite so as the rest of the crew. Thank you guys.“

“Its nice to walk in grab my drink, my girl's water and walk the downtown stores. My beverage is always made to perfection. The barista's are always so welcoming. My kids love to ask a million questions and they never seem bothered about it. All around top store in modesto!! “Omar cesar was a fantastico man, omar made my drink wrong but fixed it quickly. Omar cesar was when i ordered the new pumpkin spice and he gave it to me fat but raw. I asked for more pumpkin and omar cesar was the guy to give it to me. Kind soul“

“Wow what a great staff! We came in store instead of the drive thru and I’m glad we did! We were greeted nicely they were all working hard and had great customer service!! They were greeting people by their first names and even each other, they warmly welcomed workers starting work. Very impressed! 6/25 at 8am.“

Parking: It's a large shared parking lot for 4 or 5 separate businesses

Wheelchair accessibility: I rarely see a business without wheelchair access.“

I visited this morning to pick up drinks & eats for my daughter in law and granddaughters. I was assisted by Issac who was above and beyond nice. So personable, helpful and really just kind. Ava was my barista and she was amazing! I always order the same Pikes coffee and was wanting to try something new, but unsure of what to try. She suggested something for me, then made it to perfection! 👌🏾 She's awfully young to have such old school customer service skills! “They are always very friendly. Unlike supermarket staff. Starbucks employees are very courteous and professional. All the products are always top notch and we always return to Starbucks wherever we go. Thank you so much. This particular location is very small but the service is great and the preparations are very fast. There is excellent parking as it is inside the OBrien supermarket.“

“Had a bad day. Doordash messed up on my order. Gave to neighbor. Ran down there in my pajamas to Starbucks to reorder. Just wasn't my day. The gals at Starbucks came together and bought my sandwich. Nothing could ever replace that moment, as I'm balling in the driveway. A " break" is what some need or just a helping hand or a little gift like a Starbucks sandwich. “Friendly staff. Greeted as you walk in. Takes your drink and food orders and prepares them in a timely manner. Has seating to have a visit with your friend and drink your favorite beverage. Or have to do some cramming for that test or catch up on homework.“

“This Starbucks has great costumer service and makes my drinks perfect every time! The only downside is how loud it gets at this location, if you’re looking for somewhere to study this probably is not the best location because of the lobby music being so loud! Other than that I would def give this place 5 stars.“

“I love this place. It reminds me of a friendly grocery store back in Iowa where everyone makes you feel like their happy you came in. I love the little area to buy small gifts. A great place to shop ! Very friendly staff and the store is always clean and well stocked.“

“The main reason I came to this Starbucks is due to the dominos and connect 4 unfortunately it was taken out. Everytime I brought my kids here they were just as excited as I was, they knew they get to play games and eat and enjoy themselves. I’m genuinely unhappy with these being taken out in order to “look the same as other Starbucks” my lady and I spend way too much here, please reconsider management or upper management this is serious to me and my kids. The community of younger kids will appreciate this especially my kids….“

“Came to the mall twice this week and both times the store was crazy busy. Both times I was served super fast, everyone was friendly and my drink and food items were perfect! Side note: the manager was very helpful in helping me find an item I’ve been looking for. Thanks a bunch!“

“This local Starbucks is the freakin best. Not only the only one I got to in town, but the best customer service and experience there.
They have learned to make my drink when I did complain a few times lol but honestly went over and beyond for me and till now over a year I get the best experience from each and everyone there. “Do not recommend this Starbucks. Asked for sweet cream in my shaken expresso and got a cup of cream. Went in wanted money back and the manager was rude. Yes I came in hot. 2nd time they screwed me. And did you know the frappucinos have coffee flavor no caffeine unless you ask. But the new Dutch bros right down the street has coffee in every drink on the menu.“

The barista helping us mentioned that Danny has been doing a great job, and it definitely showed. Kudos to Danny and the Starbucks team for the excellent service. It's always such a pleasant surprise when your drinks are made perfectly something that can make all the difference in your day!“

“Haven't been inside this location, but I really like it. I like that they have an outdoor seating area. It was perfect. We will definitely return, they also have a private conference room! Perfect for corporate presentations on the go. I am pleasantly surprised about this location.Inside was clean, staff was friendly and helpful!
