We have been trying taco spots all around Modesto, and this one is not receiving the praise it deserves! All the meats we chose were delicious! Carne asada was the most flavorful I’ve had in a long while of trying different spots. We got the carne asada, pastor, pollo, chorizo, and cameron tacos.. All bomb! La Gilbertona Tacos is a taco truck in Modesto that many people say is one of the best. The customer service is excellent, the food is delicious every single time, and the prices are good. People go often and are never disappointed. The tacos, vampiros, and torta are all awesome. All the meat choices are really good, but the carne asada and the shrimp are super good. The carne asada is the most flavorful. The super pastor fries are addictive. The super burrito and vampiros tacos are favorites. One person got a super burrito carne asada, pastor torta, and 2 plain carne asada tacos to go for 20 something, which was great pricing. The super burrito chorizo is very good, well above average, and costs $11 for super. It was a decent size. The food is perfect and delicious, more than expected. The workers are very polite and make the food perfectly. It is full of flavor. You can call ahead and the food will be ready. This is a solid spot for tacos and a new spot for many.
