It's a lovely rustic space with a groovy vibe. When you walk up the scent of the jasmine blooming all along the side roof sets the tone and relaxes you. Owner is kind, food is delicious, and served up quickly. Love sitting out on the patio near the waterfall. My favorite sandwich is the Anne, but they're all yummy. Come for the food stay for the serenity. Oh and say hi to the cat.

This funky little place is the bomb! The sandwiches are great, hearty, and imaginative. The owner is a character in the best sense of the word. On 3/5/2024, there was only ONE item on the menu that was over $10. I didn't think anyone would believe me so I took a picture. They have a sweet back patio. And the soup was killer good too!

Kid-friendliness: Our kids were appreciate here, it was nice to sit down and not feel like an imposition. Friendly staff and good food the kids enjoyed everything.
I just went here to get a a sandwich. It’s been on my list for a while. I wished I’d come sooner. The sandwich was really good. So fresh and tasty. The people are lovely and the cat Punkin is gorgeous. Lovely atmosphere. A wee rustic oasis garden in the middle of Modesto. I had the Christine with added roast beef. Sprouts and cream cheese are a brilliant combo. I’ll eat here again. It was fantastic all round.

AUTHENTIC. If I could only eat at one restaurant every day for lunch, it would be this one. The heart felt sense of community, connection to nature w/ plants everywhere, and simple but enjoyable sandwiches is basically perfection. This restaurant has something that I believe could never be replicated in Michelin Star restaurant. (Cash Only)
