I really enjoy this place, the food is the best in town the meats they have are the best tasting they smoke there meat or something cause it's good. The pricing is good it's a lil cheaper then taco trucks, the carnitas they make there are delicious id recommend this place to anybody that enjoys flavor. I have been a fan of the carnitas in this place specially this the original location. We stopped in and I got carnitas burrito which was great as usual and wife had the carne asada burrito. My wife asked if the super burrito had guacamole and again asked to make sure there was no avocado because she is allergic, the girl in the counter was annoyed and said not it does not have it, but that's normal for places for some reason.. Wife's Burrito was good but it had avocado, I came up since had it for lunch but this is so frustrating and disappointing. You can send someone like my wife to the hospital and it could be fatal when restaurants don't take food allergies seriously. Very disappointing because the food is really good here but this will really make us hesitate to come back and trust their service. I really wanted to buy the chicharrón for Christmas but just very upset about their carelessness and lack of allergen control.

This some pretty good Mexican grub here!! That smoker outside is working overtime and the flavor is hardcore good! Beware when you come here because your clothes WILL smell of smoke even if you don't wait in line for a long time. The tacos de lengua, tri-tip and carnitas were just so good here!!!

So, i tried this place out for the first time. I got there & there were flies everywhere where the food was. I ordered a 3lb carnitas family pack. I thought it was a bit expensive for what i got-considering there was about a pound of fat strips in the meatsee pic below

I will never go back to this place. I purchased a pound of carnitas for the family. Took it home and when I opened the bag with carnitas. The smell was weird, after several bits I realized the carnitas had a distinct smell.. and let me tell you, they smelled like if they were cooked with tripe, and didn't clean the tripe.. so they went to the trash.. just for that I can not stand the smell or eat carnita. At least for a very long time or just make them myself. I have no idea what happened during their cooking process or cleaning process but I can say.. my experience here was the last..
Amazing, great food and decent service on Standiford, very good food on McHenry but not the cleanest place by all means. I will keep going back. Love the, pastor and carnitas.

That's exactly what i was hoping for. To be able to walk in place a quick order and have my food within 5 minutes. That is not even mentioning how good the food was. Chicharones were a good, perfect amount of meat and crunch great taste. The carnitas tacos were fire! Nicely portioned and tasty, the side of grilled onions and chiles were made it soo good. Would definitely recommend this place going back soon to try rest of menu.
