Had a horrible experience-my cake for nieces birthday celebration was molded upon cutting it!! Didn’t have any cake the party!!

I used her for my daughter's wedding. She said we could use flowers to decorate around the bottom and between the top tiers of the cake. She arrived late and then asked me where the flowers were for her to decorate the cake. She never told me she wasn't going to bring her own flowers and then proceeded to disassemble the garland and centerpieces on the main table for flowers. Halfway through the wedding someone asked me about a card left at table, not just one card but one at every single place setting. They thought maybe I got a deal on the cake for letting her advertise. Which I did not! I returned her cake tiers and told her had she asked I would have let her put them on the cake table but certainly not at every seat. This was quite awhile ago but I've never used her again because of that and she was very rude about it when I talked to her. I had hoped she would be more professional by now but guess not.

My wedding was 8/15/2021 I sent her a deposit in May and 3 days before my wedding I called her and she claimed I never paid her till I showed proof the cake was made last minute the cake was still warm and melting and caving in it was horrible and she was very rude definitely unprofessional

I ordered a cake for a friends wedding that was scheduled for April 2020 and prepaid the entire order through Venmo. Because of Covid, they weren’t able to have the wedding. I called her several times to cancel the order and asked for a refund and left voice messages which were never returned. I finally got through to her once, but she hurriedly told me she’d call me back, which she never did. I contacted Venmo but have also had no refund. Lida isn’t someone I would do business with and cannot recommend. Zero stars.

We order our baby showers cake and it was a great experience and a great quality cake. Very nice lady.

My overall experience with Elegant Cakes By Lida was not a bad one because she was a very pleasant lady that was on time and very nice. Also she was one of the only bakers in Modesto to be able to make me a VEGAN cake. However the cake she made for me was not the best quality. I expected a a homemade strawberry cake but I think she made it with store-bought box cake. I ordered the cake with strawberry filling topped with whipped cream and chocolate frosting on top. She forgot about the strawberries, and the whipped cream so when my family and I began to eat the cake we were not pleasantly surprised to say the least. The cake was way to sweet because of the frosting and I could also tell that the frosting was not made by scratch.
