Roaches…that’s all ima say. Manager was acting like she didn’t want to give us a refund. The picture was the fifth roach we seen.

I went to the Golden Corral in Santa Maria and had an amazing experience, so I decided to go to the one in Modesto. Never have I ever been so angry at a restaurant. When I got there with a friend, we were seated and ready to start eating. It was 1:45 PM, and the restaurant had switched from breakfast to lunch. However, the signs that indicated which food item was which were all wrong. At one point, my friend, who is vegetarian, ate what he thought was a hash brown, but it turned out to have sausage in it. When we went to check the label, it said “chocolate chip pancakes.” This kind of mislabeling and mismanaging is extremely dangerous to customers who are vegetarian or who have food allergies. Imagine if someone who had a serious nut allergy ate a food item that contained nuts, but was mislabeled. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen and these kinds of franchises ruin the brand name as a whole. Hopefully, this location can get it together and take the five minutes required to change its labels.

Food was okay Sunday night $21.99 and Fountain drink $3.99 dollars per person so the bill comes to $26 person soda should be with in $21.99
Like it was before food quality same as it was a year ago everything is the same but prices me and my family are not going there again

I love buffet with good value. At $21.99 (2025) for dinner, you can't beat them at the bang for the bucks. The main issue I found though was the cleanliness... firstly, the food tongs were all greasy. Like, I get it that they came from some sloppy customers, but an employee can probably go around and clean them once in a while. Secondly, when I took some dessert bowls, good thing I checked inside because the bowls all had food residue with them!! Yellow, black, whatever they were... this one is 100% at fault with the restaurant. I pulled more and more bowls out and then gave up after the 4th was dirty. Lol. I still like the value proposition but if you turn customers away like this, Sizzler's all you can eat bar starts to sound like a great alternative.

This place is so disgusting .. didn’t even eat our first plate. We were just serving it . There was a cockroach right where the countertops are at in broad daylight crawling across the counter. One of the workers seen it z She was not surprised. She just grabbed a wet towel and grabbed it. They did not get the food and toss it. They left it there and they just cleaned around it. We asked to speak to a manager a manager came that speaks non-English because they said that the manager that speaks English was on lunch we asked if they had a cockroach problem and they said that they come out and spray once a week we asked for a refund and it took us about 30 minutes to get it back. Never going back …

Some food was dry and unappetizing while some was alright . Felt either rushed or made with no care. I understand having rushes but the food tasted weird and we ended up just leaving earlier than expected.

I was there on the 14th. I walked in at 3:15 with my family of five in total.. Every single food item including desserts were dry/stale/crispy when they should’ve been soft. Basically everything look like it’s sat for at least an hour to two hours under the Heat lamps. I let three different waitresses know, and one manager. They told us food would come out we waited and it didn’t. It turned into dinner. They wanted us to pay different price. All of the foods that we had had one maximum two bites out of them

Rudest, nastiest managers I’ve ever came in contact with. Claiming that they are the owners of Golden corral. And telling me I should’ve talked to somebody in person for them to be able to do anything about this experience.. I TALKED TO 5 people and got all there names . And they all seen and agreed with all of the food that was bad. And all of them are afraid of both of these managers They are very mean to their workers made to the girls cry last time I was there.

This may be a simple buffet but it's done so well so much care goes in to what they do here keeping things clean keeping things fresh I've been to a lot of golden corrals in my life this is the best one.
