I've actually never tried the food here. I get gas at the stop n save. It's never open when I'm here either. The store clerks say it's really good food though. I'll give tem 3 stars until I get to try it.
We happened upon this place during a detour from some freeway traffic. What a treat!
It was Sunday around 11. The place was packed with locals, but we were seated right away. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's surprisingly large inside. It's decorated in a very festive style and is very clean.
We especially enjoyed the mariachi. The food came quickly, the portions were good, not American-style over the top...

The restaurant is a little outdated. The pot coffee tastes good but was cold. The morisqueta didn't have much cheese, the cabbage they used was very dry. The tatemada beef birria was good. The hand made tortillas are great. The salsa and chips were not very good.
