Kabul Express Halal Restaurant

We were visiting Modesto, and needed to eat some food. We were near by the Kabul Express restaurant. We always try to support local businesses. So walked in and there a loud Indian music playing. We looked at their menu and ordered our food. Couple of issues with this restaurant:
1. Very loud and unpleasant Indian music which was annoying.
2. Very careless customer service.
3. When brought our food to the table, the staff never came by to ask if everything was ok. Very unprofessional!
4. The food portion was very small compared to other restaurants. Sala was full of onions.
5. Taste was not that great at all.
6. Hospitality is zero. This place needs to learn how to take care of it customers.
Never recommend this place to anyone.

I don’t want to rate food but customer service really bad and worst. I tried couple time and thought they will improve and make change but getting worse.

This is a wonderful place to eat.I like the combo plate with a nice glass of doogh. I also get a cup of tea with my meal it's very refreshing. I also liked the chopped veggies that are on the side.They are always fresh. The food tastes very authentic and the service is always impeccable. This is the best halal restaurant in modesto, two thumbs way up.

Walked in and the employee looked at me and walked to the back. He came back out and I thought he was gonna take our order and he just looked at us and walked past us and said nothing. We just walked out without ordering since we weren’t even going to be acknowledged

1. The service was not only unfair but downright careless. Staff were dismissive and unprofessional, making the whole experience uncomfortable.
2. With just one fan in the entire restaurant while it was 104°F outside, the environment felt suffocating. It’s shocking that customer comfort was treated as an afterthought.
3. The staff’s behavior showed no respect for guests. Instead of hospitality, we got rudeness and neglect.
4. The heat inside was unbearable—more like sitting in a sauna than a restaurant. No proper cooling, no concern from the staff, just unacceptable conditions.
5. Overall, the experience felt like the management didn’t care about either service quality or customer well-being. Definitely not worth the visit.

Dinner here with friends did not disappoint! Everything was so delicious and the portions were enough that we all had leftovers and got to enjoy a second meal out of it. Highly recommend!!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the place was clean with a nice atmosphere. Prices were fair for the quality. Definitely worth a visit.
