Kobe Sushi Buffet

Edit 7/10/25: I tried this place again at a recommendation from a friend. The sushi boats were pretty decent, better than how I felt last time. The sushi options are pretty generic, with mostly all of it being shrimp and fake crab, but it's tasty. I would avoid the buffet warming pot area and just stick to the sushi boats. The wait staff is extremely nice, and helpful, asking if you'd like more drink, or whatever else

It's a buffet, so obviously you have to lower your expectations a bit for the quality, but even so the food quality was far below what you should be getting for the amount they want you to pay. I'll likely never visit here again

I was led by god to this place..he he..no just kidding...i stopped in right at opening time...hungry..and i was immediately brought back to a place in burlingame with my hot blue scarf girlfriend lynn..the boats...the sapporo ..ps don't tell the aa police ok....good..but the plates at the other place determined the price. Here one price.....cleann..its wasabi richard not avocado the ex wife was probably yelling....sneaky pete on the salmon....overall i want to work there....its getting hot in thete...take off all your cloths..che che....

The food isn't that good anymore but whatever. What annoyed the most is they charged $84 for 2 adults and a child. That was a rip off.

I have BEEN coming here for years, but I haven’t been here in a while, decided to come for Father’s Day, we weren’t even there more than 10 minutes once we all sat down and were 5 bites in I see a few cockroaches and say that’s disgusting we want to move tables, when we got up to move we then noticed there was ALOT more running on the table we instantly lost our appetite and wanted to throw up and told them we are so sorry but we are not paying we only took 5 bites before noticing the roaches and refuse to eat with cockroaches running on the table next to my food. That’s DISGUSTING. They still tried to force us to pay for 5 little bites of food, absolutely NOT!!!! It’s so upsetting because we have always loved the place, but to see how greedy they are and trying to still make us pay for something we didn’t even get to eat instead of making it right. We will never be returning. They need to shut the place down and take care of the cockroach issue immediately, It’s disgusting.

We have been going here for years. Very friendly staff, service is great and the food is AMAZING !! Worth our 1.5 hour drive to go there. Price is super reasonable for what is offered.

It's an average place, but it's all you can eat, and even the sushi choices aren't horrible. On an occasional basis, it's a decent place to go. If you are looking for upscale and fancy, this isn't it. If you are looking for casual, all you can eat, moderat sushi choices, and other types of cuisine for many different people, this is the place to go.l for lunch or dinner.

Parking: Plenty of parking no matter the day or time.

Kid-friendliness: I got 4, they eat plenty. Decent place for kiddos.

Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is flat, wheel chairs are solid here.

I usually love stopping here when I'm in town but my last experience was not very pleasant. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting which makes me question how clean the kitchen is. the seafood was very fishy I would only go for the rolls but I would not bring my family here again because of the over all cleanliness.

Food was not fresh. Most rolls had cream cheese, and food in the buffet area looked old. Women’s bathrooms were filthy. The rolls themselves were not tasteful.

This is like our fancy meal, we come here after major events and achievements. Price is fair, currently $16 for lunch and $22 for dinner before drinks. Sushi is good to me but I'm not a big sushi fan per say. I like the spicy crab with crispy flakes and lots of sauce or their deep fried ones.

You get sushi boats, a Chinese buffet, a Mongolian bowl, and the most amazing coffee mocha chocolate cake, honestly to me that's worth the price alone.

Parking is easy and location on McHenry in Modesto is very nice yet relaxed. Lot of fun things to do in the area before or after.
