I come here since I moved to modesto and it the only place I will go for my salvi cravings. I even catered from here for my baby shower big hit. From the pan con pollo to the pupusas along with the nugados yummmm. Will keep coming hasn't disappointed me any of the times I came. Oh plus I love salvadorian horchata more then the regular and the fruit drink super refreshing. If I cant go in person I doordash it im salvi and know what good food is.

Use to come here years ago I don’t know if the same people own it but it’s horrible food is nasty and cold and the person who gave me my food was rude and treated me like I wasn’t allowed. I see all the one stars hopefully they fix the issue because this use to be a nice place. I personally know the old owner and you guys shouldn’t be allowed to do business. If you don’t change you’ll be out of business quick enough I paid without arguing and the girl didn’t even ask what didn’t I eat it

It’s like having a piece of El Salvador here in USA. Food is amazing and the servers are too, they really take care of you in all ways. Can’t wait to come back to SFO because every time I’m in town I stop by in a heartbeat. I wish I had one here in Utah!!!

NEW OWNER SUCKS! I've been coming here for a while, but after what happened today, I’m done. I ordered 2 pupusas around 7pm. Within an hour, my stomach was upset, and minutes later I had explosive diarrhea followed by violent vomiting.
I called for a refund, and instead of any concern or apology, the owner immediately got defensive—saying it “wasn’t their food” and that they served 250 people without complaints. I went in person, and the lady at the front changed her whole energy once I said I was there for a refund. She made a face like I was a problem.

Instead of just handing back the $27 we paid, they acted like it was a negotiation. The owner gave me the refund only after questioning and haggling me, and still only gave back $20 until i pushed for the full amount. The worst part? No accountability, no empathy, just pride and ego.

If this is how you handle someone getting violently sick from your food, it says a lot about your integrity, especially because I've been coming here for years.

Flavorless pupusas and the curtido sadly. Price is 5.49 for 1. Barely any meat and cheese. And just all around disappointing. The dining room was clean and nice but it was completely empty. Sadly, we won't be returning. Sorry!

I couldn't finish my plate. I ordered the mix plate with pupusas plátanos casamiento and sour cream.

The horchata was mid. And I love horchata de el salvador. De moro. This was not it.

The pupusas were bland the curtido was bland and the salsa was cold. Also bland.

The casamiento was mushy and so much onion and the onion was raw!

I'll pass on this place next time. The customer service was also lacking. The waitress was not friendly at all. In this economy I'd be friendlier to my customer if I'd want them to come back.

I was told modesto had good Salvadorean food. This place was not it.

I ordered 12 pupusas and some platanos all together came out to $88. This was the worst pupusas I have had in my life. No flavor at all the only thing u tasted was onion and garlic and super greasy. As a Salvadorian I was recommended it but stay away this is far from authentic they don’t even know how to assemble it some parts were all masa some Burnt some had no filling. The salsa had no flavor needs salt and the curtido was raw like they just chopped and prepared it in a rush stay away from here wasted my money.
