Being that I'm Peruvian, I'm going to be a hard critic. Simply put, I was disappointed. I had been hoping for a Peruvian restaurant to open up locally, and this one popped up as I took my chances of looking for one just to see what came up. We have been waiting for Modesto to get a Peruvian restaurant, and Laa Uvas did not disappoint. Outstanding dishes prepared in open kitchen and the entire staff just are so inviting. I'm so ?.

Every item we ordered was amazing. For appetizers we had the fried yucca and veggie empanadas, both nice and crispy served with a delicious sauce.
Our mains were the mixed Ceviche and the Lomo Saltado and they were fantastic.
Highly recommend the Tres Leches for dessert, so moist without falling apart and the cinnamon...
