Lucky Bamboo Chinese Restaurant

Okay so right when Jimmy's sushi took over the last Chinese food spot I decided to give it a shot ! & It was SO worth it ! The employees are awesome ( I believe it's father & son) they have FRESH ingredients & their hand rolls are top tier , but what really got me were their prices ! They have GREAT prices for quality sushi ! I've gotten the pleasure of trying their spicy tuna hand roll & the crispy tempura roll , both AMAZING! I really am so happy Modesto had a great sushi spot on this side of town ! I say absolutely give this place a shot ! You will not be disappointed 👍

Update, I went by Jimmies Place on Yosemite Avenue in Modesto today and yesterday and the restaurant wasn’t open. Not sure if they have permanently closed.

I enjoyed getting Sushi from Jimmie’s Place in Stockton for a couple of years now. After moving to the Modesto area I had made a few trips to Jimmie’s Place in Stockton to enjoy some awesome Sushi. I am absolutely delighted that a Jimmie’s Place has opened in Modesto! I gave this location a try the other day and everything was great! The Sushi was amazing and the staff were very attentive. I can’t wait to go back for some more great food!

I went to Jimmies Place to pick up some sushi and noticed that there were new employees. I placed my order to go, paid and left. When I got home I noticed the quality of the sushi was not nearly as good as the quality was when Salvador was making the sushi.
I have been enjoying the sushi from Jimmies Place for a couple of years now. Having moved to this area from Stockton a few months ago, it had been amazing to find quality affordable sushi without having to drive to Stockton. I hope the owner addresses the quality issues. I would hate to have to find a new place for sushi.

The sushi was consistently excellent before, now there’s new workers and the sushi has dropped in quality significantly and no longer a go to spot for me.

So happy that Jimmie’s came to Modesto! Best sushi ! Everything is so fresh and delicious!! No more having to drive to Stockton. One of my favorite rolls i’d have to say is the Golden Dragon roll the mango adds good sweetness. I have yet to have a roll I didn’t like! Rolls in the video are. Avocado shrimp hand roll, Golden Dragon, Rainbow, Jessica, Antony, and Dragon. 10000/10!

To be honest with you, I've been to a lot of places, but I was very satisfied here at Jimmys The sashimi was excellent if you ever come down here just ask for Salvador He'll take care of you.

Personally think it's the best sushi in town and the prices are amazing i highly recommend this place if you want quality and delicious food with great people behind it. Thank you for the free roll you guys rock
