The worst Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life. Actually I didn’t eat anything just looked at it and asked for my bill totally disgusting. I wouldn’t eat food that comes from the trash. That food was so bad I wouldn’t even feed it to my garbage disposal. I feel sorry for anyone that actually spends money to eat here. I would highly recommend saving your money and going across the street to el rosal or javis. This restaurant is trash serving garbage out of the trash can plating it and serving it for top dollar. My 1st and last time ever eating there. I will let everyone know that they take food from the trash and plate it cus that’s what they did better off eating out the dumpster out back.

Decided to try this place after hearing from friends we had to try it. Was definitely not impressed. We were seated right away, but took forever for a server to take our drink order and even longer to take our food order. We definitely noticed that regulars received better service. Chips and salsa were good. Food definitely left something to be desired, plate looked like it had sat under a heat lamp for awhile as the beans and rice were dry and beans a little burned. Ordered the taco plate and the crunchy taco shell was store bought, not what I expected for authentic Mexican food. We didn't even bother taking our leftover home, it was very unappetizing. Found out afterwards that our friends who recommended it only frequent the bar area.

My wife and I drove from Lodi to Marcella's last night in search of the "Carmen's Tapatia" we enjoyed so much back in the 1970-s when we were dating. I ordered the shredded beef tapatia, and she had the grilled chicken tapatia, and both were fantastic! Our server, (Natalia?) was also 1st rate. It was like time travel. Our 40+ year search for that uniquely special tapatia flavor is now over. We met the gracious Marcella too, and she filled us in on the historical Carmen's connection between her family and the tapatia creations that made Carmen's locally famous back when. We can't wait to go back and take our friends to experience more Marcella's Tapatias!

We have eaten here over the years and the pricing has always been fair. We were last here in December, today the draft beer tap was having issues so ordered iced tea. Noticed the menu prices were substantially higher, as our tea arrived i noticed the price was $5.45 for what was about 14 oz glass full of ice. Ordered lunch which was just okay this time. Service was fair, waitress didn't seem to care about the pricing. We will not be back.

This place was disgusting, the waiter was rude as hell, and the food made me puke. I went here with my family to celebrate something for my job. We've eaten here before and enjoyed it but this time it was disappointing and disgusting. The waiter was this older lady and she was rude and nosey i feel like where they sat us they could hear what we were saying cause any time we'd complain or talk about being ready was when she would come. The prices are ridiculous it's 20 dollars or more a plate and nowhere here that quality or quantity to justify that price. Other mexican restaurants do not charge that much and are far better, and what is with the drinks? 5 dollars for a soda and you only get one free refill???? Why is this place charging for refills? And to make matters worse it's a tiny cup filled with ice and the soda is flat and nasty. I ordered a shredded beef taco and burrito with rice and beans. The taco was ok, the rice and beans were not good and the burrito .. oh man the burrito was horrible. They gave me this thin lil "burrito"and it was basically a store bought tortilla that seemed old cause it was hard meat that was gross and greasy it seemed precooked and the juice just made the burrito saggy, and they couldn't even properly wrap the burrito it was just rolled with both ends open. I took one bite and instantly felt sick spat it out and just waited for my family to finish. But waiting there I just kept feeling sick and rushed to the bathroom to puke. But guess what I couldn't find the bathroom. it was tucked in the corner with no sign so I was scrambling to find somewhere to puke I saw the back exit and ran for it just for an employee to stop me and hand me a trash can so I can puke in the middle of her restaurant it got all over my shirt and I finally was told where the bathroom was. I had to make a walk of shame across the restaurant with puke on my shirt in front of all the other customers and try to wash off my shirt. I ending up flipping it inside out and backwards so I can pay my bill and leave. But I couldn't just do that cause I'm being stopped by staff trying to make me sit down and drink water. Like it's not the heat that made me puke. I try to pay my bill but it's the same rude old lady taking her time shooting daggers at me cause she knows damn well I'm not going to tip. I mean I should have gotten a discount or have my food taken off for being god awful. And behind me is the employees still bugging me to drink water. And I'm just standing there with puke on my shirt begging to let me go so I could get tf outta this restaurant and go home. This place is overpriced garbage
The food was absolutely disgusting, I ordered Chorizo and eggs, it's served with rice, beans and a salad on same plate, the salad had Russian dressing on it and that got over the eggs which is a disgusting combination, my friend had the carne asada plate and it was disgusting as well, they mixed the meat with lettuce and other stuff and then it was all mixed with what can only be described as mayo, my other friend had the Chilli releno and he said they were okay, not good but not bad. Of course I had to check out the bathroom, not clean but not the worst I've seen but there was no paper towels to dry hands after touching things in their, highly recommend you go elsewhere to spend your hard earned money, the prices are way to high for such low quality meals.

I ordered their combination plate #0 and it just looked like a big mess on a plate, the chile relleno was more fried egg wash than chile. My wife ordered their chile verde and it only had 3 small pieces of meat. . I did enjoy their chips and salsa but wish their food would have been better.
