I've been in the mood for a good burger for a while and found myself near Mike's around lunchtime. What luck! I'm certain Mike knows how to make a great burger, right? Right? Hmm, not so much.

I ordered a cheeseburger, medium-rare, with cheddar, mayonnaise, and ketchup. At first glance, it looked good, and then I actually tasted it. No mayo, drowning in ketchup, not a single grain of salt or pepper to season the patty, and way, way, way overcooked. On top of it all, it cost $20.95 for a takeout order with no drink. Really disappointing.

On the plus side, the fries were delicious, seasoned, hot, and nicely crispy. The ranch was good, too.

I've been to Mike's three times and have been disappointed the last two.

I love this place and highly recommend to everyone in or around Modesto. Easy access from the 99 highway. We walked right in at 5pm for a table of 5. Service was EXCELLENT!!! Everyone helpful, working together to ensure your dining experience is exceptional. The food was AMAZING from appetizers to our individual meals, portions are large and presentation is beautiful. The owner Kyle, checked on us and he is awesome and his personalization took this evening over the top. It was my birthday and he was very kind!!!!! My family and I will be back the bugers, sandwiches, wraps and the clam chowder DELICIOUS!!!! Go early, because the wait time does increase and it's worth every minute!!!!!

Everything about this place is simply amazing! - The food is tasty perfection. The service is so thoughtfully attentive. We didn't need to ask for drink refills because they were definitely on top of everything! The place looked so busy when we walked in, but the owner promised to get is seated within 15 minutes. He's a man of his word. He is definitely a hands-on owner, doing practically everything in tandem with his conscientious staff. He made great recommendations, including the dessert, which honestly was the best dessert I've ever had in my entire life... the Churro Bread Pudding Bites. Simply incredibly delicious. I'm hoping he opens more locations, especially in my hometown of Turlock, Ca.

Went here after a tournament with my daughter and a few of her teammates. Great food and the service was excellent. Great variety of food to choose from. It's a little pricey for some dishes but everything is affordable. I got the fish and chips. They only have beer and wine and the dessert are great.
