Waitress was very nice & fast even tho it was busy. Our meals were not hot, served cold eggs & hash browns, then hot hash browns that I pit over my cold eggs. Get warm hard biscuits with no gravy, then hot gravy but cold hard biscuits. Our waitress tried to do all she could. Thank you for try'g ?

I am blown away by this place!!! I'm usually not a big fan of American style restaurants but wow did I enjoy this place. Their menu is so cute! It's formatted in news paper style and illustrate a large variety of options. One of my favorite order is huckleberry milk shake. It's so fire and such a game changer for me. Refreshing yet creamy with hints of raspberry and blueberry flavor. Def coming for more!!

Sent the fries back, soggy not crispy or hot as ordered. Why do we have to order crispy hot fries ??Just make 2 stars official, the new set of fries were not crispy and only a little warmerChefs direction taking skills low this evening or somethingThe pot roast was good

Didn't have the best experience last time because I was served coffee with lipstick still on the cup so I haven't been back here over a year. Well today was my pops 66th bday and he wanted breakfast here so instead of eating inside i ordered ahead of time. When I got there to pick up my order I specifically asked the girl hey did you put condiments because last time their wasnt any. Their response well when ordering it doesn't give you that option so if you don't see it go ahead and comeback to get it. I live in oakdale So I opened up the bag so I didn't have to come back Because they refused to check and guess what no syrup for pancakes no butter or jam for biscuit etc not even silver wear when ordering from the BLACK BEAR DINER WEBSITE I put on special request PLEASE PUT CONDIMENTS the girls still pretry much argued its not their job you have go request it or check yourself. Then when I got home the order was completely wrong. Food Looked sorry and wasn't what I ordered and extremely cold and soggy. The manager issued a refund and was understanding about the situation but honestly I won't be coming back here again. Tried giving this place 3 chances too many. All my dad wanted was to have a good birthday breakfast guess having a fresh correctly ordered meal with the appropriate condiments was too much to ask. Had to end up throwing everything away.

Great place for comfort food. Large portions, lots of options, and prices are standard for this type of diner. Like most restaurants you visit, the staff is overwhelmed as manament has trouble hiring workers. For a chain restaurant, the food is usually very good with large tables for families.
