The best quality sushi and drinks in Modesto by FAR! Delicious ramen as well. If you are a true connoisseur of sushi then you know what im talking about.

Had a black garlic ramen. Took forever to be served. The noodles was soggy when served. The broth was too salty.
Modesto Sukiyaki was a solid spot! The food was pretty good overall, with a nice surprise of vegan sushi on the menu. The appetizer gyōza were delicious, perfectly crisp and flavorful. I tried the spicy miso soup too, definitely packs a punch. Pro tip: don’t wear white while eating this ramen

Food was really good! This will be my sushi spot from now on! Although I would say the building is super small and very limited on seating so must of the time there’s a wait a time.

This place has some of the best Japanese food that I’ve ever tried. The rolls are insane and the tempura ice cream dessert is worth traveling to from New Jersey.

I’ve been through the ringer with restaurants. It’s hard to find good customer service and food anymore. This place rules. I’ve never been happier with the customer service and food. If I could change anything about this place I wouldn’t. I can’t wait to eat here again. A+++

I wanted to like it because of the reviews. Unfortunately, the taste of the sushi was not it. No flavor at all. Very pricey. The customer service was very good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant. But I would not recommend based on the taste of the food, sorry.

The reviews looked good but this place fell down hard. The service and atmosphere were fine but the food was sub par. I had the sukiyaki and it was like someone made it who had never tasted decent sukiyaki. The key to good sukiyaki is the foundation of a good dashi broth. The broth here was like soy sauce and water. With a good broth the other ingredients sing. There was a little bit of napa cabbage some yam noodles sliced but overcooked beef and silken tofu but none of it worked together like it should. The next regret was trying the sushi. Fresh fish does not smell overwhelmingly fishy. Not the case here, I could not finish one piece of sushi. I am visiting Modesto from Seattle where sushi is abundant and fresh as fresh can be but they definitely dialed this one in. We were a party of five and the other dishes were ok but nothing else stood out as either good or bad. My advice is for you the diner to ask right up front about the freshness of the fish and the preparation of the dishes. Anyone can have an off day and I hope for me is I simply visited this place on their off day
Very dirty restaurant.
Ordered out from there today and asked for replacements on my order (due to a severe allergy), order still came with said ingredient. It would’ve been fine if they took it out entirely. Also gave my driver trouble and didn’t answer the phone when I called the establishment twice. Very disappointing honestly, I love the food and usually enjoy going to the restaurant but this was just…
The food actually feels like if it was made in Japan itself. Super good food and the staff is really friendly and overall a nice vibe. 10/10!
