Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop - Modesto, CA

Just walked into this location and we were not greeted! We sat and waited for service. When another customer came in they greeted them saying welcome in, and a short conversation started. I noticed this and kindly got up and left to go spend my money elsewhere. I guess your employees are bias and I will never come to this location again ever. Probably would've made my sandwich wrong or small with those type of attitudes. Gained and lossed a customer in 7 minutes this has to be a record

The people that work here were absolutely horrible. Extremely rude and disrespectful to my family and the customers before & after us. They had absolutely no reason to treat us this way. Very disappointing as we literally just stopped to get a sandwich. The girl that worked there literally kept rolling her eyes at both me and my husband while we were ordering and I have no idea why because it wasn’t even like they were busy and we knew exactly what we wanted. They need to have a serious talk with their crew because this was ridiculous.

This was my first and most likely last visit to this location due to the appalling service I received. Both employees working at the time, particularly Ally's coworker, were shockingly rude and unprofessional from the moment I walked in.

They were visibly impatient and acted as though answering basic questions was a burden. When I tried to clarify parts of my order, I was met with snappy, dismissive responses. Out of three sandwiches, two were made incorrectly. That alone was frustrating, but what followed was completely unacceptable.

When I returned to ask for yellow peppers, one employee looked at the other and said, “I’m not helping him, you can.” Ally proceeded to grab a small cup, but the other employee stepped in, grabbed the peppers seemingly from where sandwich scraps go and laughed while looking at Ally. When I asked what was so funny, both turned red and offered no explanation.

This kind of behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s downright disrespectful and childish. No customer deserves to be treated with that level of hostility and mockery especially on their first visit. I left feeling disrespected, embarrassed, and irritated.

I expect management to take this complaint seriously and address the behavior of both employees involved. A follow-up would be appreciated.

I was very surprised when I got home and I opened up my husband's sandwich to find the black marking pen wrapped up inside of the sandwich.

Great sandwiches

French Dip sandwich was amazing, wish the horseradish sauce was a little more potent kinda like arbys horsey but all in all, fantastic sandwich, I was very happy with the sandwich. Really cool that they give a free cookie too

Got the Mrs. Pickels had a tiny sliver of turkey, subway puts more ham on the sandwiches. Husband got the Mr. Pickels had 3 pieces of chicken.

Mr Pickles does it right. This is the best sandwich shop in the area. You will be pleasantly surprised.

My husband is allergic to mustard and onions and we specifically told them no mustard and onions. Unfortunately they were added. The Mrs Pickle was missing the avocado. Never returning to this location.

I LOVE sandwiches! I think they are the perfect meal. They have meat, vegetables, bread, and cheese and can be eaten without utensils. Mr. Pickles (I hate the name) makes a great sandwich. I always get the Dutch bread because it is so very crunchy, and I can't find it anywhere else. The ingredients were fresh, the service was cheerful, and the atmosphere was as expected for a fast food place. The bonus... they give you a chocolate chip cookie with every order! Your taste buds will thank you.

Best sandwiches in Modesto!!! The bread is always fresh and tasty, excellent quality meats & cheeses, generous portions, great produce - SO DAMN GOOD!!!! I’m a Dutch Crunch lover & theirs is always perfect - never dried out or chewy. You can’t go wrong here!!**Sometimes there’s a hot meatball sub (might be seasonal) and it’s just delicious also. YUM

Parking: If it’s busy (lunch time) parking can sometimes be tricky but it’s worth it!
