What a gym! Do not pass up the New Zealand king salmon. And get them to give you a bit of education about how it is different. In my 60s seven years of living, I’ve never had anything come close to it.Has been grilled it last week and we’re returning today with fingers crossed. Will add pics later I hope :-)

Purchased awhile ago and since moved from the area. Currently was in search of some fresh King Crab legs and remembered them. At the time I purchased King Crab legs and a few pounds of Tiger Prawns. They were huuuge, and literally was caught the day prior. The customer service was 10/10, and the quality of product, makes me want to go back.KEEP up the amazing service Ohana!

Ohana Seafood in Modesto has real fresh, excellent selection, fish and seafood. It is as good, or better than driving all the way 100 miles to the coast to get great seafood! We have enjoyed salmon, halibut, mahi mahi, opah, sea bass, swordfish, tuna, 4 kinds of oysters, clams, mussels, and crab. We have also enjoyed their fresh house made sushi and teriyaki halibut skewers. Everything has been delicious.
Patsy says, she appreciates the friendly, helpful staff, and that they offer suggestions on the best way to cook the fish, and even how to pull the fish off of the skewers. Good job John et al!

10/10 for seafood. So I don’t make reviews on google that much but I’m glad I actually went with my friend to preorder 4 sushi rolls because I was sus of this place not sure if it was legit (I thought it was a noisy fish market but it looked like a garage in person with one cashier ? and my friend was like wat). Originally my order was 4 rainbow rolls to try the variety they have but the chef personally made his own up and explained to us in person the content. I think we ended up having a crouching Tiger roll, rainbow roll, raiders roll, and some spicy tuna roll. So we tried the sushi it was amazing and fresh (the seafood is sweet to taste almost). Was going to share with the office since it looked like a tray full but it was gone by us 2 since it was so good. I would not go back to any other sushi place and only order from here. Will be ordering again!

If your looking for quality fresh fish to take home and cook in Modesto this is the place to go. They have all kinds of specially made items depending on what fresh fish is available. They even have flash frozen that you can thaw out later and its like it was just prepared that day.

This is a hidden gem in Modesto! This is the type of place I’d expect to find in San Francisco- the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The quality of the seafood is unmatched! I still cannot believe this is in Modesto.Not to mention it’s next door to an awesome brewery spot and meat market.
What a great late lunch today. Ahi tuna from a new source in Modesto, Ohana Seafood. John Mensonides owner, buys only the freshest and sustainable seafood available. Paired with a 2021 Albamar Sauvignon Blanc from the Casablanca Valley in Chile. A pale but vibrant golden hue. On the nose and palate green snow peas, lime and soft peach aromas and flavors. A great pairing with Ahi sushimi.

Their fresh crab is outstanding....but don't pass up the seafood chowda!!!!It is outstanding...they have every fish in the ocean souped up in the pot...best I've ever tasted!!!!

Absolutely love this place. I don't have enough good things to say about it! My boyfriend and I don't buy fish from anywhere but here. And if you want to fix a dish but need help picking out the right fish and size, they can do that! Such a great place! 👍

I was recently in Hawaii and was spoiled with fresh seafood from a local market that we enjoyed nightly for 3 weeks. I mentioned to my sis and bro in law there is no place in Modesto to buy freshly caught fish. " I'm going to have to open up a biz". Well....came home and discovered Ohanas! Sooooo delighted to find our source. The freshest seafood around, clean shop, friendly, helpful staff, and the tastiest product around. Thanks Ohanas, keep it up, I'll be there to support!
