There's sure a lot of food options in Modesto, especially in the downtown area so I was a little perplexed on just what I wanted...That is until I spotted the Panera Bread restaurant. It was cold out, and that mornings damp fog was still with me so what better way to shake that coldness off than having a hot bowl of soup from Panera Bread. 5 stars...and they didn't even try hard. ☆☆☆☆☆

I have been here a number of times. I've been inside and through the drive through. What an absolute delight this place has been for me! The atmosphere is great. Some of my favorites are the chicken frontega sandwich, the Italiano sandwich and the Greek salad. The chicken noodle soup is also great and soothing. For a sweet, I enjoy the iced lemonade and the coconut macaroons. Thank you Panera Mchenry for each and every wonderful visit. :)

The hot water was warm, no half and half. By the time they bought out hot water I had finished my meal and it was time for to leave. Another customer said the coffee was empty. Very disappointed in this store. I came from Southern California and never had this situation at any store there

Saw a commercial for $1 soup with entree order. Didn’t mention online only. Soup ended up costing $9 each cup. One sandwich and two cups of soup was $35. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not return or listen to Panera bread commercials again. Unacceptable.

I’ve been coming to Panera for some weeks now and I go in and I get not even a full small cup of milk from the toppings area and I usually just pay for they flavor if I get any. Now all of the sudden I’m being denied milk there and I’m being told they need to be able to count the milk????? How are you even counting something your not watch being portioned out???
Their ice machine has mold in it. Every piece of ice in my cup kept coming out with mold.

I haven't eaten here in years and now I remember why. I pre-ordered via the app an asiago bagel sandwich, which had literally 3 tiny pieces of chicken and so much aioli that the whole bottom bun was literally soggy. And there was so much arugula that I actually removed some just so I could close the sandwich. And the dude behind the counter was SO RUDE just because I wasn't positive what the last name was on the order (Some of my apps use my nickname and not my real name). Oh amd the gave me bread for my side instead of the apple i asked for. Not my first poor experience picking up this exact same order either, it's just progressively gotten worse by leaps and bounds with every order. This sandwich was so good the first time I got it, probably because I told them I don't eat here before ordering. I'll be sure to lie to them from here on out so I actually get my $17 order made properly and no attitude from an underpaid worker. Smh

They didn't ask if I wanted my pastry warmed up .Free refills on coffee ,tea and soft drinks ,made my day cause I was feeling under the weather and a couple of hot teas got me feeling much better .Kid friendly and well maintained .
