Food is not good at all. I got a 200 gift card from work. And it was worse than Denny's. đŸ„ŽđŸ€ą

Ordered a burger well done. Showed up with blood on the plate, sent it back and they returned the same burger, not a new one, with the same cold fries, but now a burnt burger . Place is garbage.

My fiancee took me SURLA's for a date night 🌃 and we arrived at good time. Plenty of parking, the host asked where we would like to sit, and immediately waters were brought to our table. The dinner lighting is perfect, classy, clean restaurant, and modern decor. The mixed drink was well prepared, food was flavorful and the waitress đŸ€”đŸ»â€â™€ïž checked on us often. I had a Fina Colada and the Miso Glazed Salmon yummy! 😋. As a fellow foodie SURLA's is on my list of good vibes and places to eat. đŸ«¶đŸ»

Food was just okay, Went for brunch. They sat us in the patio, and half of us were under direct sunlight until I complained about it. Overpriced for the food that was served. Not sure I will be going back based on my experience.

We all had something different and all eight of us loved our food!! The service was excellent too! Definitely worth a visit!

Went for Valentine’s Day evening. Waited 45 minutes for a table, even though we had a reservations, but we’re flexible because we’re restaurant people and I understand. The lobster bisque that came in a shot. Glass was very underwhelming perhaps if they had a little piece of lobster on top maybe a dollop of crĂšme fraĂźche or something. Completely pedestrian. The subpar salad. Boring mix greens and a champagne vinaigrette. Not imaginative at all and then two prawns
.. small prawns. I do not believe these prawns were made to order. They were premade before the evening started. We were then not served our third course. We just went straight in to our fourth course a filet mignon. How to ask our server if we could have our third course. She then said you actually want that. Yes we want that. Although that was underwhelming as well a little baby scoop of sorbet with a half a glass of sparkling wine. Although it says champagne on the prefix menu. Anyone that knows if it’s something from champagne is from the champagne region. Sparkling wine they misrepresented themselves. Then when they brought back out our filet mignon again. Our server informed us that she kept it warm for us, why would we want that so a medium rare medium food could go to medium well to well done. Why were we not giving fresh food after they screwed up our third course? Then our crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e and if anyone knows that or crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e is, there’s crystallized and caramelized sugar on top. We did not have that we just had a big bowl of mush. Between the bar dinner and spent $308. What a waste of my goddamn money. Would’ve gone to Raw, which is phenomenal. Would’ve been happy to spend a $400 there. Only reason didn’t go is because my son who has learned to have a good taste from his parents went there. We went to this crappy restaurant I will never go again and will tell anyone that asked that it sucked

We dined here last night for Valentine’s Day. This was my first time here and I’d heard great things about the place so I was excited to try it out. The menu was a prefix menu and you could only choose one of three main entrees from the list. Everything sounded appealing and we were looking forward to our food. However, when the first dish came out we were disappointed. The lobster bisque was served in a shot glass! A shot glass! What a tease. You can get better servings from samples at Costco. The second plate was a prawn salad. Now I’ve had prawns before. These were not prawns. They were shrimp. Lukewarm. With a tasty sauce and a sad looking side of greens that lacked dressing/flavor. Now I chose the halibut as the main dish. My fish was cold! Seems like the cooks made them in advanced and just platted them as they got ordered. Flavor was ok but the temperature of my food was not. Especially when we were paying $90 each for the meal. Aside from the food, service was also a bit slow and unorganized. Tables that got there after us got their entrees before us. Doesn’t make sense. The only good thing about the night was the dessert. No complaints there. We did enjoy that. Overall I don’t think we’ll be back. Sadly way too overpriced for the quality of the meal.

What a great end to 2024!

Took some family members to Surlas in Modesto for New Year's Eve dinner, and it was truly a night to remember! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a fantastic evening.

The service was exceptional--our server was attentive without being intrusive and ensured our group of four felt well taken care of throughout the night. The food was the true star of the evening! Every dish was impeccably prepared, bursting with flavor, and presented with care. We ordered several different cocktails to accompany each course and each one was better than the last. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was evident that top-quality ingredients were used.

The highlight of the night had to be dessert--a sweet ending to a perfect meal. Paired with some expertly crafted cocktails and a nice selection of wines, it truly felt like a celebration.

Thank you, Surlas, for making our New Year's Eve so special. It's rare to find a place that combines great food, excellent service, and an inviting atmosphere so seamlessly. We'll definitely be back soon!

Brunch was delicious and well worth it! Highly recommended

Yamanashi The Moon Dragon

Very classy restaurant with a nice vibe inside. French Dip sandwich was good but the fries were lightly seasoned, perhaps I just like my fries a little saltier idk but I felt like they were pretty plain.

Surla's is a good restaurant. I went for the brunch for the first time and I was not happy. They do brunch on the last Sunday of the month. The price was great at $29.99 for all you can eat and unlimited champagne. However, the brink did not taste great. Food from the normal Surla's menu is really good, so this was disappointing. I recommend the restaurant but not the brunch. Don't do it, reconsider.
