First wrong order, then refuse re make order even my daughter has receipt and order details. Sad Church chicken going from top places down to grave on service. Don't think I ever go again.

My family has been eating Church’s Chicken since I was a kid—it’s what my grandma always bought. Sure, there are better fried chicken places, but we come back for the nostalgia. After today, never again.

We pre-ordered our meal through Uber Eats a day in advance for pickup at 6pm. When I arrived, they told me they didn’t receive my order. A few minutes later, a receipt suddenly printed out and they said, “Oh never mind, just got it.” They prepared and handed me the bag and I left. On the way home, I checked the bag—wrong order. I called my family to let them know I’d be late and went back to the store.

Here’s where it gets worse: the person whose order I was accidentally given was now in the store. They took the bag back from me, repackaged the exact same food (after it had left the store with me), and gave it to him. Totally unsanitary and unacceptable.

I showed them my Uber Eats confirmation with the pickup time and store address. The cashier apologized and said they’ve had issues with online orders. I figured they’d remake my food, but instead she spoke with the manager and came back to say they couldn’t make my order because it didn’t print on their end. I literally had the receipt on my phone. It felt like they thought I was trying to scam them.

The cashier seemed to genuinely feel bad and was just following orders, but the manager stayed in the back, eyeing me suspiciously, never coming to speak to me directly or resolve the issue. So not only did I waste over an hour of my time, but I went home empty-handed to a hungry family that had been waiting. We drove out of our way to come here because of the memories tied to this place, but after this experience—nostalgia isn’t enough.

This place charges a little too much for chicken. Comparatively speaking Church's is up there with Popeye's and KFC but charge too much for their food. Last week I went to order a 12 piece family meal and 50 bucks later for only legs and thighs. The order menu never specified this. I haven't been here in ages so either i didn't know about this or i forgot. Since i like white meat as well i had to pay an up charge of 4 dollars and some change. Come on 50 bucks for chicken? I know it's similar the other places but I don't have to pay extra for a mixed bucket. My advice, unless you really like this Chicken go some where else and save a few bucks for the same thing.

The reason why churches chicken is going out of business they hike a price up too high. You go get a mashed potato you get this little cup. It’s not even like it used to be this little cup of one scoop even the lady at the drive-through said you’re paying too much for this, I will never go back. Why do they always give you old chicken chicken? I don’t get it. They are not like they used to be in the early 90s.

The food is always fresh every time we eat at this Church's. But this time, I guess I came a little while after the chicken had been sitting under the heat lamp, and it made me sick after eating two pieces.

They shorted me a piece of chicken i ordered a 10 pc and only got 9 pcs. I guess I have to start opening the chicken box and count it from now own to receive what I pay for.

I just bought a 14 piece legs and thighs and I live in Azusa, which is quite a ways away anyways I only received 10 pieces so immediately I tried to call the restaurant and can’t get through it. Send you to a full voicemail. I don’t understand what kind of business this is or they won’t answer their phone and you can’t even leave a message.

OLD DRY FRIED CHICKEN was served via drive thru. I only purchased because the wife was craving fried chicken at 10a. I personally would never ever buy if I was on my own. The quality of this location is subpar. Interior of chicken was cold and dry. It had that despicable aftertaste of old frying oil. Instead of fighting with my wife, I tossed in a few comments with a smile. It takes her a few bad experiences to realize her poor decisions about fast food.

Very bad experience, I was the second car to place an order, and the cashier told everyone to wait. But at least two customers who came after me had already taken their order. I still waited for my order for at least 30 minutes. Is that why I was the only Asian and got my order last?

29SEP2024: I normally LOVE Church's Chicken. This was the first time I've had a negative experience out of 5 states (countless visits). I went through the drive through at 8:05pm, they close at 10pm, just to find out they refused to cook any food that wasn't already heated because "we're cleaning the fryers". I get that. I've worked in restaurants as a fry cook, and I have worked in fast food. But closing 2 hours early? That was new to me. The manager, Pamala was standing behind the poor window employee refusing to discuss anything nor give him support for why she requested the kitchen to close 2 hours before closing. I'm disappointed. More importantly, I believe the manager needs to be called out for closing 2 hours before close. We were only offered food that was cooked (and from the taste) 30min prior. I was not impressed, and I expect better out of a national franchise.

Crispy, greasy, but sooooo good once in a while. I very much enjoy their mac and cheese along with biscuits. Personally, the meat quality here to me seems a lot better than those similar chains like Popeye's and KFC.

I wish they would open up more locations closer to me in SGV!
