“Service was excellent, the owner checked on us personally - we are not food critics or influencers, just two regular twenty somethings on a date - and wanted to make sure we had a great experience”
“Wonderful lunch time here with besties! Their food is amazing. Avocado and the fruits are super fresh. Service is above average, caring and friendly! Will come back again soon!”
“If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.”

“Love the chicken masala and the vegan and vegetarian choices. When you want to cut in meat and start a new healthier diet, you must try them out.”
“We have been here three or four times and the service is always friendly. The food comes hot, it’s delicious, and they have gluten free options! A Thai place I can actually eat at!:) We love the casual atmosphere and will definitely be back.”

“A Delightful Sushi Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sushi was outstanding—fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. The chef’s special sashimi, were bursting with flavor. The nigiri was a standout, with perfectly seasoned rice and melt-in-your-mouth fish. Service was impeccable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They even made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. One thing to note: Fillet doesn’t have a liquor license yet, so if you’re someone who enjoys pairing sushi with sake or wine, this might be a consideration. They said it’s coming soon, I can’t wait to come back here again.”
“Exceptionally professional staff and I love it so much!
While I was waiting for my pizza, a staff approached me and started apologizing for the mistake that someone else took my pizza and they had to remake it, and she promised that she’ll take care of my order as priority to avoid any further delay. I love that they acknowledge the mistake and take action on it quickly, even before I realized (i didn’t feel I was waiting too long). I appreciate them being professional and thoughtful for the customers.”
“This place serves Sichuan style Chinese cuisine. Highly recommended. They operate more on food to go but has a small space for 14 diners. Paying in cash expedites service by a lot.
I ordered their Kung Pao Chicken and Fish in Black Bean Sauce. It was served fresh and hot, with steamed rice. Kung Pao Chicken was meaty and really has a good balance of flavors and spiciness. The Fish in Black Bean Sauce was soft, flaky, saucy and not too salty to taste.
Food was served at almost in an instant, around 5 mins from ordering. The serving is very generous, good for 2-3 people for 1 order (see photo), depending on your appetite. For the food price ranged around $10+, it is a steal. Customer service is nice and the lady is very quick on her feet.
Plenty of parking outside. No restrooms though. Come here with an empty stomach and bladder.
I would return here next time to try their Hot Pot, Spicy Chicken Nuggets and Mapo Tofu. 🌶🍛”

“We enjoyed my birthday dinner tonight at Jakes Roadhouse. The food is delicious and the friendly service was great.”
“Some unique flavors and some familiar. Customer service at the bar is unparalleled, like the all-day happy hour pricing. I’m very happy when I come to this place, regardless of what I order.”

“Very comfortable place to be in. Everyone was relaxed and you could hear the staff in the kitchen communicating getting the orders out. They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. I was surprised to see Birria on the menu so had to get that for sure! I think I will may this my goto spot a couple days a week so I can eat better for less and no dishes to wash.”
“Ever since I tried their curry plate, this place has been my go-to—it's honestly delicious! I haven't tried anything else yet, but the staff is always kind and the service is super fast. My only minor complaint is that they recently changed their containers, so it feels like a bit less food, but honestly, can you blame them in this economy?”
“This is an incredible place to grab tacos! We went here on taco Tuesday night and sampled a lot of different tacos throughout the evening. Great drinks and food! But what really stood out was the awesome service. There weren’t a lot of people working there, but all of them were hustling and making sure you are well taken care of. This is a great place to grab delicious tacos and drinks!”
“T Burgers is definitely one of those classic burger spots you gotta check out. We tried a bunch of their food, and honestly, everything came out fresh.
The pastrami burger was loaded with juicy pastrami, the breakfast burrito was massive and packed with flavor, and the chili cheese fries were straight-up comfort food. The waffle fries stayed crispy, and the zucchini and onion rings were fried perfectly with a nice crunch.
To top it all off, we finished with the funnel fries, and man… those were addictive. Crispy, fluffy, and covered in powdered sugar they were the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
Overall, if you’re craving a classic burger joint with big portions and solid food, Tees Burgers is definitely worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back!”

“Most of so called Taiwanese restaurants are for snack food or street food. It’s so hard to find Taiwanese banquet cuisine, so every time we are in LA, we stop by here. This spot is the closest to the authentic Taiwanese food we can find within in California and Nevada.
Comparing to Cantonese food or Sichuan food, Taiwanese cuisine is on the light and healthy side, not oily or salty.
Below are some must orders:
Kidney and chicken testicle in sesame oil broth. They make the freshest kidney and not overcooked!
Chicken roll. They homemade it on site, super juicy and delicious.
COD with chili paste. Very flavor and really juicy fish.
Eel sticky rice. We added salted duck yolk which enhanced the flavor and presentation.
Intestines. They do not have the authentic vinaigrette flavor but still good.
I have been craving for the slow braised trotter with bamboo (bamboo is actually the highlight of this dish), so I pre-ordered it. It’s a big portion for 10 people.
Taro dessert. Not too sweet and not greasy but just a perfect combo for the dessert.
It’s very spacious inside, nice and clean. Easy and pretty of parking in the lot as well.”
“Great service and friendly staff. Dan, Andrew, and Scotty are attentive and fun to watch behind the bar. Our food was excellent! A must try!!”
“Excellent wine choices and even better recommendations feom the server. Food was amazing and pairs perfectly with the wine. Small local spot everyone should visit!”

“I just want to say this is my all time favorite Starbucks. Jaye, Ericka, Jose(I think I’m sorry) and Mallory are absolutely the best of the best. My drinks are always the best when this team is working.
Jaye and Ericka are both absolutely so sweet and kind, both need to be recognized for not only their hard work but dedication to creating experiences with their customers! Thank you Monrova team for always making my coffee and treating my dog, Emma! 🫶🏻 yall the real MVPs here!
If you like coffee like that, like me and my dog do. I highly recommend this place.
My dog: 🎾/10”
“The Heart of Monrovia
If you are looking for more than just a meal, this spot is a local gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly warm; the staff truly treats everyone like family. You aren’t just a customer here—you’re a guest in their home.
The service is attentive without being overbearing, and the genuine smiles make every dish taste even better. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, the hospitality remains consistent and heartfelt. It is the perfect place for a comforting, authentic dinner.”
“Little skewers are the best over-all barbecue place to go in my opinion. A lot of bbq places have food quality and sanitation problems. But little skewers never disappointed me. Service at very branch is good a usual.
There was a singer performance on Friday. I think the place has limited vacancy for that. It was loud and hard to talk. It was also weird that the singer is walking around by every table when you are eating.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Great tacos of all kind & affordable. Fish tacos, potatoe tacos, carne asada tacos, & more Mexican dishes. It's a small place with only a few tables. But it's mainly a take home food place. They have special either Wednesdays or Thursday & it's 2 for one. They select which tacos will be on special. Customer service has always been kind friendly people.”
“By the way MONROVIA has the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. I made sure to tell them. We took our table cloth and sat in there for over an hour as we enjoyed our food. Thanks guys for your great customer service. Looks like you all take pride in your work. Love that!”
“yeah so I finally tried that place on magnolia everyone's been talking about and honestly it hit the spot pretty well. the kimchi jjigae was super comforting on a cold day and had just the right amount of spice to warm you up without making you sweat through your shirt or anything dramatic but it was definitely solid. the side dishes were good too with the little fishcake being my favorite but i wish they gave you more banchan for how much the entrees cost, you know, like at least refill once. the bulgogi was tender and had a nice sweet marinade that paired well with the ssamjang and lettuce wraps they brought out, though the serving size felt a bit small for the price. i gobbled it up pretty quick and was kinda wishing i had ordered an extra rice bowl to make sure i got full. honestly id go back for the soup alone but id probably skip the grill items unless im really craving it and just stick to the hot pot choices since that is what they seem to do best.”
“Just goggled and found. Good parking yummy food good choices. Abd large servings”

“Fantastic. Delightful. Yummy. We had their carne asada burritos, carne asada taco and el pastor taco. Everything was so flavorful. I was craving carne asada, but great carne asada not the bland stuff you find at most places. They city we live in DOES NOT have a single place that satisfies our taco and burritos craving. We found this place by chance and it did not disappoint. Trust the 5 star reviews. They're telling the truth. Although this is a 30-40 minute drive from home, we will gladly make the drive for this food. Oh and the horchata is the best!”

“I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was delicious! The flavor was great and I really enjoyed it. The wings, however, were a bit overcooked—especially the BBQ wings, which tasted slightly burned. The habanero wings were perfect though, with great flavor and the right amount of heat. Overall, I’d definitely come back for the pizza!”
“We came to try this place on a Friday, craving mariscos. Super loud. It’s definitely not a place to bring your family to have a peaceful dinner. I ordered a mixta tostada and the fish was too chunky. They also added ketchup on it! The tostada was not good. Shrimp was fresh! We will not be coming back.”
Cheap Eats
“Not really a Boba fanatic but came here with some friends and had some refreshing and ultra delicious Taro Tea with Boba. It was so chilled and yummy that I will definitely come back as well as on Tuesdays as they have some size-up deal. They make their own Boba! Quality and taste is tops🏅🏅🏅”
“This is a great local spot to get good Mexican food at a good price. I often get a carne asada burrito or fish tacos, but I have had so many things on their menu, and they are all excellent! The are quick in making the food, and they are my go-to place! I get take-away, but they do have a couple tables outside if you want to eat it there.”
“I wanted to write a review of the arepa I had!It appears to be that there is no set location for this food vendor, but their business is registered at the Monrovia City Hall because they sell at the Farmer's Market on Friday evenings.Firstly, really delicious! My arepa had shredded beef, with panela cheese, mixed veggies, and maduros (fried banana).Soooo good!Real authentic arepa. The shredded beef was seasoned perfectly, warm and juicy, but not overwhelming nor drenching. The panela had a good al dente rubber feeling to it, which was not hard and not too soft. Alongside the fresh spinach and lettuce and warm starchy fried banana slices. Everything within a warm maize dough bread. It's all sooo good!5/5”
“Lucas was an amazing server. Kept us laughing the whole time. Definitely coming back in the near future!”

“My friend brought cupcakes from here this past weekend. We both loved them. I have a sweet tooth so my dulce de leche flavor was perfect 😋 It was moist and just the right amount of sweet for me. My friend liked her peanut butter chocolate as well. Will need to check out this place in person next time.”
“The wait wasn’t too long, the servers were really attentive, and the food was good. The ambiance wasn’t overwhelming, like a few other places I’ve had brunch at, and it added to the great experience we had. Definitely recommend for a Friday morning girl’s day. We’ll be back!”
“Don't go here if you are looking for a quick meal - went on a quiet Monday to dine in, waited 22 minutes to receive 3 hamburgers and fries. Have to admit, they all tasted great!! Very bothered with how many people asked for a cup for water and then filled them with soda - that's both lying and cheating, and the sodas don't cost that much!!”
“I work at a nearby business and stopped by San Fernando Coffee Co. to pick up breakfast and coffee for our team. Emely welcomed me as soon as I walked in, and Karen and Diana were also so kind and helpful. Everyone provided excellent customer service, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food and drinks were delicious. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!”
