“A Delightful Sushi Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sushi was outstanding—fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. The chef’s special sashimi, were bursting with flavor. The nigiri was a standout, with perfectly seasoned rice and melt-in-your-mouth fish. Service was impeccable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They even made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. One thing to note: Fillet doesn’t have a liquor license yet, so if you’re someone who enjoys pairing sushi with sake or wine, this might be a consideration. They said it’s coming soon, I can’t wait to come back here again.”

“This place serves Sichuan style Chinese cuisine. Highly recommended. They operate more on food to go but has a small space for 14 diners. Paying in cash expedites service by a lot.

I ordered their Kung Pao Chicken and Fish in Black Bean Sauce. It was served fresh and hot, with steamed rice. Kung Pao Chicken was meaty and really has a good balance of flavors and spiciness. The Fish in Black Bean Sauce was soft, flaky, saucy and not too salty to taste.

Food was served at almost in an instant, around 5 mins from ordering. The serving is very generous, good for 2-3 people for 1 order (see photo), depending on your appetite. For the food price ranged around $10+, it is a steal. Customer service is nice and the lady is very quick on her feet.

Plenty of parking outside. No restrooms though. Come here with an empty stomach and bladder.

I would return here next time to try their Hot Pot, Spicy Chicken Nuggets and Mapo Tofu. 🌶🍛”

“If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.”

“Most of so called Taiwanese restaurants are for snack food or street food. It’s so hard to find Taiwanese banquet cuisine, so every time we are in LA, we stop by here. This spot is the closest to the authentic Taiwanese food we can find within in California and Nevada.
Comparing to Cantonese food or Sichuan food, Taiwanese cuisine is on the light and healthy side, not oily or salty.

Below are some must orders:

Kidney and chicken testicle in sesame oil broth. They make the freshest kidney and not overcooked!

Chicken roll. They homemade it on site, super juicy and delicious.

COD with chili paste. Very flavor and really juicy fish.

Eel sticky rice. We added salted duck yolk which enhanced the flavor and presentation.

Intestines. They do not have the authentic vinaigrette flavor but still good.

I have been craving for the slow braised trotter with bamboo (bamboo is actually the highlight of this dish), so I pre-ordered it. It’s a big portion for 10 people.

Taro dessert. Not too sweet and not greasy but just a perfect combo for the dessert.

It’s very spacious inside, nice and clean. Easy and pretty of parking in the lot as well.”

The woman who took my order was absolutely wonderful.She was incredibly patient, kind, and thorough throughout the entire process. She carefully read back every order, counted all of the items with me, and triple-checked everything to make sure the order was accurate. Even though it was a large and detailed order, she never made me feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing her.I truly wish I had gotten her name because she deserves special recognition for her excellent customer service.

Since I had such a large order and there were other customers coming in, I expected to wait around 40 minutes, which I would have completely understood.However, I placed my order at approximately 8:45 am I and was able to leave by 9:05am. I was extremely impressed by how efficiently and carefully the entire team worked.

“Wow, talk about delicious! 😋 From the first bite, it was clear why this place is so popular. The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and incredibly satisfying.

The service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and our food arrived surprisingly fast without sacrificing quality.

One of my favorite parts of the experience was the open kitchen. Being able to watch the chefs prepare each dish added a fun, authentic touch and gave us an even greater appreciation for the care that goes into each meal.

I ordered the chicken stir-fry noodles, which were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. My wife and son both chose the chicken noodle soup, with one ordering the standard noodles and the other trying the cut noodles. Both dishes were a hit, and it was fun comparing the different noodle styles.

Overall, great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommended if you're looking for fresh, flavorful noodles and a memorable dining experience! 🍜😊”

“I love Alitalia Pizza in Monrovia! I have ordered and picked up their pizza many times now- honestly my favorite pizza place! My favorite is the large garden salad- it’s huge and full of so many veggies! Why the salad? The BEST homemade balsamic dressing I’ve had. Not kidding! I even dip my pizza in it. I crave this dressing every day. I also order the gourmet veggie pizza every time. Tons of vegetables, fresh and delicious. I’ve also had the homemade cheesecake which I loved. Can’t go wrong here. “yeah so I finally tried that place on magnolia everyone's been talking about and honestly it hit the spot pretty well. the kimchi jjigae was super comforting on a cold day and had just the right amount of spice to warm you up without making you sweat through your shirt or anything dramatic but it was definitely solid. the side dishes were good too with the little fishcake being my favorite but i wish they gave you more banchan for how much the entrees cost, you know, like at least refill once. the bulgogi was tender and had a nice sweet marinade that paired well with the ssamjang and lettuce wraps they brought out, though the serving size felt a bit small for the price. i gobbled it up pretty quick and was kinda wishing i had ordered an extra rice bowl to make sure i got full. honestly id go back for the soup alone but id probably skip the grill items unless im really craving it and just stick to the hot pot choices since that is what they seem to do best.”

We were welcomed into such a delightful and warm environment and immediately sat at the bar. Julie, the owner, is the kindest and sweetest woman and she cooks like an angel. Even though the menu says small bites, the portions are large enough to share and they are so so good. The menu is great, but be aware that they may not have everything due to availability...but what is available is awesome. We ordered the Caesar salad and the surf and turf plates and it was delectable. Julie, who is also the wine director for the restaurant, offered us a great selection of little known wines that blew us away to complement her amazing food. She has cultivated an environment that feels like you're being cooked for by family or your best friend. We will be back to The Saltner, for sure, as it's a new favorite place. I was craving carne asada, but great carne asada not the bland stuff you find at most places. They city we live in DOES NOT have a single place that satisfies our taco and burritos craving. We found this place by chance and it did not disappoint. Trust the 5 star reviews. They're telling the truth. Although this is a 30-40 minute drive from home, we will gladly make the drive for this food. Oh and the horchata is the best!”

“I wanted to write a review of the arepa I had!It appears to be that there is no set location for this food vendor, but their business is registered at the Monrovia City Hall because they sell at the Farmer's Market on Friday evenings.Firstly, really delicious!My arepa had shredded beef, with panela cheese, mixed veggies, and maduros (fried banana).Soooo good!Real authentic arepa.The shredded beef was seasoned perfectly, warm and juicy, but not overwhelming nor drenching. The panela had a good al dente rubber feeling to it, which was not hard and not too soft. Alongside the fresh spinach and lettuce and warm starchy fried banana slices.
