“A Delightful Sushi Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sushi was outstanding—fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. The chef’s special sashimi, were bursting with flavor. The nigiri was a standout, with perfectly seasoned rice and melt-in-your-mouth fish. Service was impeccable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They even made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. One thing to note: Fillet doesn’t have a liquor license yet, so if you’re someone who enjoys pairing sushi with sake or wine, this might be a consideration. They said it’s coming soon, I can’t wait to come back here again.”

“If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.”

“I actually ordered their chicken and waffle for breakfast and not thinking this can be that great (because I didn't choose this place but my mom did 😬). However, to my surprise, the Belgium waffle was huge and has a very good texture with a special dough. And Man, that chicken thigh is something else! I love that chicken was marinated first, then fired (or baked) so it's juicy and not dry at all! Not to even mention the Hispanic servers there can speak Chinese so that's why they can draw my mom back (and now me)! 🤣 👏 Bravo Nano Cafe 👏”

The waitress kept checking on us. I recommend this place if ur in the SGV it’s close to the freeway (210) a hole in the wall that gives high maintenance and caliber restaurants a run for their money. Top 10 hands down!!!”

“Really enjoyed the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with the chewy Knife Cut noodles. Staff were friendly and attentive. Order came out quickly and fresh. I counted at least five beef chunks in my bowl, which is just awesome! I also ordered the Honey Lemon Tea, which was refreshing and just right (not too sweet). Seating/atmosphere was comfortable. Overall a great place to have a nice bowl of beef noodle soup in the area. Will definitely be returning often!”

“Little skewers are the best over-all barbecue place to go in my opinion. A lot of bbq places have food quality and sanitation problems. But little skewers never disappointed me. Service at very branch is good a usual.
There was a singer performance on Friday. I think the place has limited vacancy for that. It was loud and hard to talk. It was also weird that the singer is walking around by every table when you are eating.”

“Dulce Cielo in Monrovia is something special. This is my wife’s absolute favorite chai...and trust me, that means something. She drinks only chai and has sampled pretty much every chai in Monrovia and beyond. This is 'the one'

I walk a mile round trip every single day just to get it for her. That alone should tell you a lot.

So what makes Dulce Cielo different? Everything. Their chai isn’t some powdered mix scooped from a container and drowned in hot milk. It’s completely handmade by the owners themselves. This is a carefully tested work of art. The flavors are deliberate, balanced, and thoughtful. You can taste the care, time, and intention in every sip.

Beyond the chai, the creativity here is incredible. I’ve tried several of their other drinks and every one has been amazing...especially the horchata and coffee blend, which is next-level good. A friend of ours once mentioned a specific chocolate she loved, and the owners literally went out and sourced it just for her. That’s the kind of place this is.

And don’t even get me started on the cupcakes and pastries. Inventive, beautiful, and mind-blowingly creative. Nothing feels mass-produced. Everything feels loved.

“I Love the food. But I hate it. When my foods delayed i ordered a colossus burger, which is a pastrami hamburger. That's what the older taker told me it was. Then they made the food and they only gave me a hamburger. I only paid for a hamburger. As I sat there and waited about 8 minutes for them to make the food.They expected me to wait an additional eight minutes and pay them a 2 75 3 75. For their miss up and wait, you think I wanted to wait my food was hot in my hand what's wrong with the order taker? He spoke perfectly good English. I know he understood me.I also speak Spanish, so there's no reason for him to miss up my order.I was disappointed and it wasn't a nice day to be disappointed”

“Very comfortable place to be in. Everyone was relaxed and you could hear the staff in the kitchen communicating getting the orders out. They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. I was surprised to see Birria on the menu so had to get that for sure! I think I will may this my goto spot a couple days a week so I can eat better for less and no dishes to wash.”

“Alitalia Pizza is literally the only place we pick up pizza! The crust is delicious as is their sauce and fresh ingredients, definitely different than your average pizza. They also have many other options and we often order a salad on the side. Their salads are large and always, consistently fresh. They don’t cut corners and the owners and staff could not be more accommodating and delightful! Great local business to support and a hidden gem if you have not tried it!”

I’ve tried some Mexican food before, but I’m not an expert on what’s considered “authentic.” Still, I genuinely thought the food here was really good, especially as a work meal — filling, fresh, and satisfying.
I was also surprised by how carefully everything was packaged. They included tortilla chips and several different sauces, which was a really nice touch. You can tell they care about the customer experience.

I ordered their marinated short rib bowl and I added extra proteins of spam, an egg and chicken with no rice, all salad. It was a phenomenal lunch overall. The flavor was definitely there. It was definitely pricey after I added all the extras, but still worth it.

“We have been going to Boba Box since it was still doing the soft opening. We drive about 15-20 mins just to come here. My family found a new boba place that actually accommodate everybody drinking favorite. I don’t have to drive to Rowland Heights for Half And Half then go to West Covina for BYOB and OneZo. Then go to Dunkin Donuts for Matcha latte. Boba Box is amazing and drinks always comes out the same taste every time. Just the right coldness and amount of toppings. Keep it up the good work.”

I was craving carne asada, but great carne asada not the bland stuff you find at most places. They city we live in DOES NOT have a single place that satisfies our taco and burritos craving. We found this place by chance and it did not disappoint. Trust the 5 star reviews. They're telling the truth. Although this is a 30-40 minute drive from home, we will gladly make the drive for this food. Oh and the horchata is the best!”

“I wanted to write a review of the arepa I had!It appears to be that there is no set location for this food vendor, but their business is registered at the Monrovia City Hall because they sell at the Farmer's Market on Friday evenings.Firstly, really delicious!My arepa had shredded beef, with panela cheese, mixed veggies, and maduros (fried banana).Soooo good!Real authentic arepa.The shredded beef was seasoned perfectly, warm and juicy, but not overwhelming nor drenching. The panela had a good al dente rubber feeling to it, which was not hard and not too soft. Alongside the fresh spinach and lettuce and warm starchy fried banana slices. Everything within a warm maize dough bread.It's all sooo good!5/5”

“I've been a fan of their Burrito Ultimo for over two decades. It is the same high quality and great taste it was in 2004 when I frequented the Baja Fresh near my then workplace. I retired a few years ago and visit a different Baja Fresh that is near a business I go to every few months...the taste hasn't changed in all that time. Love the salsa bar and freshly sliced jalapenos.”

“Being from the deep south, I’m very particular about my chicken fingers. Even though they don’t have ranch, they have chicken sauce (what we call it in the south), which I suppose is their sauce. The food is always fresh, and the chicken fingers are made high quality chicken, and are breaded and seasoned just right. They have a very affordable menu as well.”

“As Wendy's is a fast food chain restaurant, there is a different scale to rate them against. In the area I usually go to Wendy's because the food is consistent and the drink machines have all of the options available and not 5 of the 35 (not necessarily 35, but the selections are all available). This was the first time they didn't have tea for iced tea which I usually get so I assumed that the delivery of the product was the problem. I had a bacon assist go burger which was good and lemonade which were good. The speed of service meant the meat wasn't cooked to order but already cooked, however it didn't taste like it was made quite awhile ago and kept for hours in a warming oven. I will go back again and hope to see the tea next time.”

There are places with good food — and then there are places like this, where the food is truly flavorful, hearty, and feels healthy. I really enjoyed it and left fully satisfied. The atmosphere is cozy and feels like home — everything is clean and well maintained. There’s convenient parking too.
