The parking is okay, as the place share a lot with at least 4 other eateries, sometimes it's kinda hard to find a spot. The atmosphere is just okay, a tad too crowded and too loud. It's not for a date night but pretty decent for a simple dinner out.“

At some Thai restaurants, the food all tastes the same and it doesn't really matter what you order. That certainly wasn't the case here. Both dishes were different and we enjoyed them. But they weren't spectacular. The flavors didn't pop and they weren't bright. I'm not sure what was missing, but something about them felt... Less than exciting.

I gave it 4 stars and would happily eat there again if I'm in the area. But it's not worth the drive from the intersection of the 10 & 57 freeways.“

“broooo, where do we begin. Best hainan spot in SGV, definitely one of the best Asian places in Azusa/Glendora area. Americans need to be put on to hainan chicken, just cuz it’s not fried and brown outside doesn’t mean it’s not good. Hainan is steamed in so much spices and flavor and since it’s not fried, it’s so juicy and healthy. Please do yourself a favor and try it out. polarkriss the manager is also an angel. He’s always there greeting the guests and I always have great conversations with him.

“We spent a long weekend in Pasadena and at first chose this Thai place because it was just 5min walking from our rental cottage. They greeted us so friendly and accommodated our requests for items on the side. Then, the next day we came back here because everything was so flavorful! My husband had the crispy sole fish special and I enjoyed the glass noodles with shrimp. Exquisite!

“This is my OG favorite Thai spot starting way back in 2007 when I moved to Pasadena! I recently went back to give it another try and it's as good as I remember, prices are now considered reasonable and even good especially the lunch specials, and everything still tastes fresh and high quality. Even some of the servers are still some of the original servers from 2007! They said they love working there. The inside is unique, used to be a wall of empty frames but they made it a bit more artsy but definitely eclectic! They also have if you dishes that are not straight tie but Singaporean or Malaysian. A lunch special for two and both of us getting one iced coffee and one Thai tea came out to a whopping ;-) $40. I think that's super reasonable for high quality Thai food and the drinks added $10. I'd come back with my date! But the place is tiny, so if there's no seating inside, and it's too hot or cold to eat outside, take it to go! The food is worth giving a new home in your belly!“

I got the chicken pad Thai and everything was so flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the yellow curry and it was absolutely amazing, rich and creamy with a coconut base that honestly reminded me of my mom’s Vietnamese curry.

“Our family has adored coming to this lovely Thai restaurant tucked away in Azusa! The service is always fast and friendly in a cozy atmosphere. The food is incredible! There is something on the menu for everyone! My favorite offering is the green curry tofu - they ask you which spice level you'd like... If you crave a flavorful kick - they will not disappoint! This pairs well with garlic string beans or sir fried fresh ginger, onion, mushroom and carrot. Food was good minus that one incident and the young man with a moustache serving us was extremely professional and pleasant. We are from Houston and this was our first meal in LA. “Spicy seafood dish was tasty but sparse. They dont offer a small stir-fried side dish, only a family sized dish. Life is too short for plain white rice (my personal take).

My friend had chicken with noodles, which came with 7 thinly cut pieces of chicken, 4 little sprigs of broccoli, and 5 slices of carrot. Again, pretty sparse for a $16 dish.

“I love love love the red curry. I’m a big fan of spicy 🌶️food and always get disappointed when I order my curry extra spicy and find it too mid, but not here. The curry is flavorful and the heat is there (if you like it that way). This is my go to for lunch for not only the flavor but value.“

Sweety Hut Thai Restaurant – West Covina, CA

We had a wonderful meal at Sweety Hut Thai! From the moment we arrived, the service was kind and attentive, and the ambiance felt inviting and cozy. The menu is extensive, offering everything from flavorful curries to fresh salads and delicious appetizers. 

We started with Chicken Satay and Fried Wontons—both were tasty, well-seasoned, and a great way to whet the appetite. The chicken satay came with a rich peanut sauce, and the fried wontons had just the right amount of crisp. 

For entrees, we went with a curry and also tried the Pad Thai Noodles. The curry was creamy, fragrant, and full of fresh ingredients; the Pad Thai was balanced in sweetness, spice, and texture, with plenty of fresh vegetables and noodles cooked just right. 

Dessert was a sweet finish—something like Mango sticky rice, which was perfect. Light, not overly heavy, and the mango was ripe and juicy. 

Overall, Sweety Hut Thai delivered on authenticity and flavor. If you’re craving Thai in the West Covina / San Gabriel Valley area, this place is a gem. Fresh ingredients, strong flavors, great service, and a menu with lots of variety. Highly recommend!“
