This whole in the wall just YES. Parking is really horrible it's super busy but if you find parking you're good. Thankfully there wasn't a long line when we arrived! But as soon as we sat it got busy. The stir fried tofu, the fried chicken, the Taiwanese noodles and the sautéed veggies are to die for. Most the workers speak only mandarin. There was so many dishes to pick from.
Very tasty and authentic taiwanese food! Never had any complaints about the service, but I usually come with people who know the cook and waitstaff well, so I'm probably not the best judge in that department. The eel sticky rice is really yummy, the squid with 5 flower sauce(?) is also good, and the soups are really good. They also have a lot of to go freezer items and lunch specials. The most authentic Taiwanese cuisine in the SGV. Very friendly staff here. Highly recommend making a reservation as it gets busy fast, especially during the weekends. We came here for a birthday celebration and ordered lots of traditional dishes. It used to be a bakery/deli so the decor is very simple. They use rattan chairs! Take advantage of the free beer offer (dine in only) with every $30 purchase. If you don't drink beer, you can ask for a soda instead.
