“I’m a fan. Lots of history here. This was also a filming location for the movie Bad Santa. The hotel IS haunted. But I don’t believe it is yet operational again. The Mayan is and it’s a really cool place. The staff is super friendly and engaging as well. Be sure to walk around and check out the pictures on the wall. Yes! They are from the 30s and 40s. Welcome to Old Route 66.“
“This is my first time at this establishment. Bartenders were on point with their drinks. They were friendly and sociable. They were pretty busy for a late Sunday night. I haven't tried the food, but I hear the wings are delicious. I was told to make sure I asked for the gem sauce. I will definitely be going back to try some of their items on that menu and looking forward to my future visits... perhaps play some darts and pool.. oh , and bartender Kenny knows his stuff.!!!“
“Max's food is delicious. The taste and amount are on point. The staff has always been very friendly. They take same day reservations. Love the chips and salsaserved before the food arrives! The outdoor "MAX'S" sign wasn't lit, so we missed it and had to turn around. Hard to find at night, but the staff said they would have it fixed by the next day. There's plenty of free parking available, and they are kid friendly!“
“I was craving fish and chips on Saturday. When we walked in there wasn't anyone to greet us. They only had two people one at the bar and one serving plus there was a big party in the patio. Since it was so busy we did have to wait a bit to order and get our food. My fish was amazing, and the burger was tasty. It definitely has a pub feel. There are high tables by the bar and booths on the side. Our server was running around, but still had a smile and great attitude!“
“Came here today and was served by Miguel! He was astoundingly good and was so eager to have a good time with us today!!! (Edit-- came here Saturday night with a buddy and we were treated so well by all of the staff! Jesse was great as always and we had a really nice waitress named Brittany who was really fun. FABULOUS service by our favorite waiter this gentleman with fabulous hair. The chicken and chorizo enchilada I had was soooo good!! BEYOND good. Can't wait to go back! “Staff that cares! Great place. Wonderful food. Seems lately customer service is a thing of the past. NOT here. The staff if Friendly, they accommodate seating requests if possible. I get cold , so not sitting outside or by the door makes for a better dining experience.They do keep the door open for outside diners, which can be chilly for those on the inside.They are very knowledgeable in wine selection and know how to pair well with the entrées.One super bonus, lots of gluten free selections!!!Dietary restrictions: They offer many tasty gluten and vegetarian options. I'm neither, but my sister is gluten sensitive, and this was a fav of hers.“
