“We had dinner at Wistaria last night and the food was delicious (we had the beet and goat cheese salad and the trout almondine and salmon dishes). We had such a positive experience that we decided to make this our go-to restaurant whenever we are in the area. I actually decided to write this review because of the kind service--after I left. I was convinced that I had left my cell phone at the restaurant (my phone had died and my apple watch indicated that the phone was there), and the staff person who answered the phone kindly looked for it and then patiently explained that if the phone had died, my apple watch may be indicating its last known location, but not its present location. She was right, and I soon found my phone--with a completely dead battery. Nevertheless, I appreciated her taking the time to reassure me--despite how busy I know that staff can be at that restaurant. We had planned to return for the wonderful food, but now we will definitely be returning for the delicious food, charming atmosphere, and more-than-helpful service!“

“We went in search of the @losdoradosla truck and found it parked in front of La Cuevita. We ventured in at around 6p and discovered that it was still Happy Hour. My husband ordered an Old Fashion and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. I ordered a specialty vodka drink and it was refreshing. We’re definitely going back soon with friends!“

“I came here this past Friday, Feb. 20th, for an event hosted by the SoCal Boba Run Club in which they had line dancing, mahjong and for the last hour or so (12am till 1am), a rave. The whole event was incredibly fun and well put together, the ambiance was semi well lit up during the first few hours and then the lights were fully dimmed down for the last hour (during the rave part). The staff was friendly, courteous and professional, some even helped some friends and I learn the basics of mahjong. As for food, I was too busy dancing, talking to people and trying to learn mahjong, so all I had was a soda and it was great. Will definitely be back for any future events. 10/10 venue.“

“Ordered the off-menu Pomodoro pasta and it did not disappoint. The tomato and petit basil sauce was bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “Best pub in the Altadena area. It is a family run business, and really, a more traditional "public house." Not too many places like this around! Guiness and other European ales on tap. Nice selection of wines too. Say hi to Judah, Gail & family and help support Altadena!“

“I visited in October, and the whole place was dark with Halloween décor — definitely a vibe. The bar atmosphere is great and the customer service was on point. They have a wide selection of cocktails, and my absolute favorite was the Coffee Martini — honestly the best one I’ve ever had. Highly recommend checking this spot out.“

“New in town, so I drop by on a weekday to check out the scene but to my dismay I lost my driver's license/id and tried to use my expired id. The security guard follows the rules but still made me feel welcome so I respect that. She allowed me to come in but I couldn't buy alcohol.Bartenter was polite. Overall this looks like a good place to have fun on weekends. I'll be back when I fix my ID issue thanks.“

Fun place to go with friends and play some retro cabinet games and other games I'm sure you haven't heard of. The pinball games are awesome. Would like to see more pinball games be added. More games and tables going to the back of the building. Restroom located in the middle(heading towards the back) Clean dining areas. Real Awesome Bartenders! Great beer/liquor/spirits/wine variety. Order at the bar, they'll give you a number and you can just choose a table. Super full when I went but the vibes were great. Awesome music and atmosphere. Good luck with Parking 🤞“

“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. WE'LL HAVE A FEW BEERS AND PLAY ON THEIR DART MACHINES. IT'S A REALLY GREAT ENVIRONMENT IN THERE ALL THE TIME. “I dont know what you are looking for when you get the cheapest beers in town and the least expensive billiards game at the same time....but just in case those were the two things you sought out tonight....this would be the place. People come and go and the regulars are awesome welcoming and understanding. What else can I say about a place????“

“This bar is pretty chill. I've come in a couple of times with my man-friend to play pool. We usually stop by the bar to grab a couple beers first and the bartenders are always quick to greet us and take our order. Drinks are reasonably priced. There are 2 pool tables in the back of the bar where you can add yourself to a list and get in on some games. One of the times we went there was live music playing. The atmosphere is pretty chill and inviting and for the most part the bar was clean overall. We definitely plan to come back!“

“Thursday Nights !! A+ Bartender Rosie goes above and beyond . I’m not only if she friendly and acknowledges any and every person who walks in she’s not like other bartenders I’ve seen other establishments who are on their phone more than they are working. She brings in a collective of different patrons all friendly Never once not felt safe when I am there It’s a shame the other Bartenders at this places sister establishment in Covina were as well Trained as Rosie. “I hadn't been to this location in about 10 years. Back then it was a total dive bar with "fichera" girls. This time I experienced a fairly nice bar while I watched both the Canelo vs. GGG Trilogy boxing match and the Dodgers vs. Giants baseball game simultaneously. The waitresses and bartenders were very nice. I'll definitely keep this place in mind for watching future sports events. Otherwise, parking for this location isn't easy to come by and it's not a pick up joint. The clientele was pretty much exclusively middle aged Mexican men.“

Our waiter was exceptional Yamileth took care of everything my family is a little picky so we had a lot of substituting items which she gladly did with no issues. “Traditional Taiwanese dishes served in a banquet setting. That’s a first - I have only seen Taiwanese food served in casual restaurants and cafes.

Menu is expansive and every dish we ordered tasted authentic. Best stinky tofu I’ve had outside of Taiwan.“

“As a dive bar kinda guy, this place really resonates with me. Love that the pours are good (Sara at least) and cheap - $5 for a well whiskey sour or a full pour of wine, $7 for call whiskey rocks. Cash only which is OK, just know ahead of time. And went there last night with my daughter for a quick drink before dinner - loud, obnoxious drunk group of sketchy dudes in the booth beside us. Lots of cussing and vulgarity which is fine with me but it was loud enough to be distracting and the bartender didn't really do or say anything to them, which may have been uncomfortable and awkward so I get it.“

“I just had the most amazing experience I have ever had at a Bar at La Bufadora. For all of the people claiming it’s gentrified, stop it, the world keeps going and nothing can stay the same. This bar has come into new ownership 6 months ago and it is NOT the same Bufadora that opened in ‘89. I’m sorry if you want the bar to be the same 36 years later but that is simply not realistic. The bar is BETTER than ever and caters to the community by having open mic nights and local musicians that don’t have these spaces available to them especially in light of everything that has been going on with the raids. I genuinely fell in love with this bar because of their selection of beers and mixed drinks. The mixed drinks are made with FRESH fruit juices and only the highest caliber of spirits which include tequila and mezcal which make them super delicious and are of higher quality than any other bar’s drinks. You will not be disappointed. The prices reflect the quality and taste of the drink and is not too much considering the care and attention put into them. The vibe of the bar is also wonderful and I can see myself coming here often with friends and family to relax and listen to the live music. I highly recommend this bar. Come check out what they’ve done with the space and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.“

“This place is always great. Our table service / waitress was amazing. We got wings / chili nachos / calzone . Everything was 5/5 . Except calzone. The cheese was weird and seemed like it wasn't ok. We asked to take it back and she did it in a great understanding manner. Drinks were awesome , she suggested a drink based on my preference . I will always come here because the overall experience is great. I think I come at least 4-7 / year“
