About The Tap Room

The Tap Room offers a unique dining experience. The food is a mix of good and not-so-good, with the prosciutto sandwich being a bit off and the scones and pineapple cheesecake being delicious. The tea service is hit-or-miss, with some pots being weak and others being strong. The service is friendly, but can be inconsistent. The parking situation is also unclear, with no notification given about validation. Despite these issues, the restaurant has a beautiful location and a welcoming atmosphere.

The lovely entrance welcomes guests to a special day, making it the perfect setting for Afternoon Tea. Excellent scones—moist and never crumbled—are served with lemon curd and clotted cream. The sandwiches are perfect, with soft bread and plentiful fillings, especially the Chicken Salad. Tea Leaves (out of Canada) Tea is a highlight, with favorites like Vanilla Earl Grey and Thunderbolt Darjeeling.

The entire Langham Hotel is stunning, but The Tap Room stands out with its classy, cozy vibe and a splash of Hollywood cool. Inside, it’s dark and moody; outside, serene with a front-row seat to nature. The patio offers a quiet ambiance, perfect for sipping drinks like the smooth Underground Tunnel or a classic mojito.

Guests love the romantic strolls around the property and the attentive service, with nice touches like roses for Mother’s Day. The Tap Room keeps delivering, making any evening feel elevated.

Afternoon Tea at the Langham Lobby Lounge was very nice. Excellent service, including having specifically vegetarian sandwiches for my husband. The small pastries were quite tasty, and I love that they were not too sweet. A few notes, though: - The small tartine with pear slices and apple caviar was served on bread that felt a little uninspired. I'd suggest using a more interesting base, like a savory shortbread or even a sesame cracker. - The bread generally felt a tad stale...read full review
This was my first time having the Classic Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge. Because we got there late morning (10am) before most other guests, the venue was very quiet, which we enjoyed. The scones, sandwiches, and desserts were top quality, filling, and paired excellent with the two pots of tea provided. The service hosts pour and refill your teacup, so there is no need to do it yourself. There was a live pianist who added an additional touch of elegance. Afterwards, we had...read full review
The Lobby Lounge at the Langham hotel is beautiful. We were seated by a window with expansive views of the gorgeous grounds. The service was excellent, but I was disappointed with the food especially for the price that I paid for the four of us. I was mainly disappointed with the deserts. They were way too experimental for High Tea.
