“It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit. I must say the decor is exactly as I remembered. Took 3 minutes to be seated then we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive waiter I’ve EVER had at any restaurant . I’m a huge lover of the cabbage salad so I gorged on a big bowl before dinner. I ordered a medium rare fillet and potato and it was cooked to perfection. I so wish I lived nearby as I would pay it a regular visit. I’m so glad the Clearmans Northwoods inn has not been changed.“

I’m not only if she friendly and acknowledges any and every person who walks in she’s not like other bartenders I’ve seen other establishments who are on their phone more than they are working. She brings in a collective of different patrons all friendly Never once not felt safe when I am there It’s a shame the other Bartenders at this places sister establishment in Covina were as well Trained as Rosie. “We came around 7pm and the entire restaurant was PACKED. We were able to walk in with a group of 4 and we were seated right away (shockingly). Philip was our server and he was so great. Although he had many tables and a restaurant full of people, he never allowed it to affect his professionalism or quality of service. Our appetizers were brought out as quickly as the order was placed and our drinks were brought shortly after our waters. Without asking, Philip refilled our waters as needed and checked in with us multiple times throughout meal. I watched him interact with other tables and he was amazing. He gave each person his undivided attention and patience. Thank you so much for the best service we’ve ever received at this location (and we’re locals, we come all the time). Congratulations on your wedding Philip!! you were awesome.“

Now add the atmosphere. TVs everywhere. Not one sad corner screen--multiple TVs, perfectly placed, so no matter where you sit, the game is on. Football, basketball, playoffs, random Tuesday night action--it's all there. This is a sports fan's sanctuary. You could bring rival fans here and they'd still leave friends, united by pizza.

The place itself feels like a classic neighborhood pizza joint perfected, not trendy, not try-hard, just confident. Families, regulars, first-timers--it works for everyone. Loud enough to feel alive, comfortable enough to stay longer than planned.

Honestly? If the President of the United States wanted pizza without the Secret Service, this is where they'd come. No politics. No nonsense. Just great pizza, great energy, and a reminder of how good things used to be--and still can be when done right.

The lineup for the VIP meet and greet was chaos. Nobody from the venue was letting any of us know where to lineup so people were lined up on both sides of the doors and eventually crowded around a single person in front of the doors to get signed in. It was so confusing.“

“This was a nice little joint I happened to come across looking for a locals style restaurant. I showed up a bit after 5, so it wasn't to busy yet. The tv near the ceiling as a list of all the beers available on tap. Some of their beers are not my type, but that's fine. When you sit down, you have 2 fermentation tanks in the dining area that makes for a neat experience. The beers are pretty decent. They do have a happy hour, but I'm not sure of the times. I did order the bratwurst, it was ok. I do think the menu should be expanded, as there wasn't much to choose from. Several photos from years back showed a significant menu; but not anymore. Overall I'd come back. I enjoy the small atmosphere and the locals feel that is involved.“
