“I am not a big fan of mariscos. This is one of the best mariscos spots I actually enjoy. I highly recommend the shrimp and fish tacos, the camarones dinamitas, camarones de cucarachas, Coctel de Camaron, the aguachiles is actually one of the best sauces I've actually tasted, not to mention there other Mexican dishes they have on the menu. I also rented the hall for events and the menu for their catering services are good as well and the hostility from dining in and renting the hall has been phenomenal. Anyone wanting to eat good mariscos I highly recommend this place“

“Pretty good service.. you do have to provide a password to get in but the bouncer does give you a hints and was very friendly! Me and my boyfriend had a great time the reason we went was because of the Halloween decorations and they definitely did not disappoint. Yes the drinks are on the more expensive side but they’re not bad we got some drinks and each drink was under $20 which I didn’t think was bad as you’re paying for the experience and the drinks were also really good!“

“Best pub in the Altadena area. It is a family run business, and really, a more traditional "public house." Not too many places like this around! Guiness and other European ales on tap. Nice selection of wines too. Say hi to Judah, Gail & family and help support Altadena!“
“Good service and clean spot for some brews. Some patrons can be a bit loud and disrespectful to other but dont let that stop you from speaking with staff. They do a great job of making you feel welcomed so dont feel rushed or apprehensive to ask them anything.“

“We had dinner at Wistaria last night and the food was delicious (we had the beet and goat cheese salad and the trout almondine and salmon dishes). We had such a positive experience that we decided to make this our go-to restaurant whenever we are in the area. I actually decided to write this review because of the kind service--after I left. I was convinced that I had left my cell phone at the restaurant (my phone had died and my apple watch indicated that the phone was there), and the staff person who answered the phone kindly looked for it and then patiently explained that if the phone had died, my apple watch may be indicating its last known location, but not its present location. She was right, and I soon found my phone--with a completely dead battery. Nevertheless, I appreciated her taking the time to reassure me--despite how busy I know that staff can be at that restaurant. We had planned to return for the wonderful food, but now we will definitely be returning for the delicious food, charming atmosphere, and more-than-helpful service!“

“Hungry Bird is new in town, and I’m lucky enough to live just a few blocks away. This was my first visit, and I loved it! Everything looked and tasted delicious. They have chicken, beef, seafood, and pork skewers, plus noodles and sushi rolls. I came for the skewers, and I’d definitely come back to try more.

“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. “This is a really neat historic spot, a craftsman home bulit in the 1800's in S. Pasadena repurposed into a restaurant. The vibe is cozy and welcoming. It's like your meeting with friends at someone's home but with professional service, where everyone can just relax and enjoy each other's company. My first visit was with a few girlfriends years ago for their happy hour which runs m-f, from 4-6pm. Since then I've come back for their brunch, and recently dinner. All visits have been memorable and exceptional all around.
They are known for their craft cocktails. My friend had to drink called Latina Medicina and substituted vodka for tequila. It was a citrusy, refreshing drink, beautifuly presented with a large square ice cube, which apparently takes 3 days to make. My husband had the Alien Pool Party cocktail, also refreshing and very fun! We had a lot of laughs with that one. So if you've never been here and are looking for something different, then I recommend you give him a try.“

“I stopped by Maggie’s Pub & Banquet Hall and it feels like a classic neighborhood pub with a lot more space than you’d expect. The place is pretty big, with a large bar area and a separate banquet hall that’s often used for parties and events. It has that relaxed, old-school pub vibe where people come to watch sports, grab drinks, and hang out with friends.
The menu is mostly comfort bar food. I tried a fish and chips plate and some wings, and they were solid—simple, satisfying, and perfect with a cold beer. Some popular items here include seafood dishes, sandwiches, and classic pub plates like prime rib or pastrami sandwiches.
One thing that stands out is the venue size. The banquet hall can host large events with hundreds of guests, so the place often holds parties, comedy nights, or special celebrations.
Overall, it’s not a fancy restaurant, but if you’re looking for a casual pub with drinks, live events, and hearty comfort food near Los Angeles, Maggie’s Pub is a fun spot to check out.“

“I hadn't been to this location in about 10 years. Back then it was a total dive bar with "fichera" girls. This time I experienced a fairly nice bar while I watched both the Canelo vs. GGG Trilogy boxing match and the Dodgers vs. Giants baseball game simultaneously. The waitresses and bartenders were very nice. I'll definitely keep this place in mind for watching future sports events. Otherwise, parking for this location isn't easy to come by and it's not a pick up joint. The clientele was pretty much exclusively middle aged Mexican men.“
