“I am not a big fan of mariscos. This is one of the best mariscos spots I actually enjoy. I highly recommend the shrimp and fish tacos, the camarones dinamitas, camarones de cucarachas, Coctel de Camaron, the aguachiles is actually one of the best sauces I've actually tasted, not to mention there other Mexican dishes they have on the menu. I also rented the hall for events and the menu for their catering services are good as well and the hostility from dining in and renting the hall has been phenomenal. Anyone wanting to eat good mariscos I highly recommend this place“

“Best pub in the Altadena area. It is a family run business, and really, a more traditional "public house." Not too many places like this around! Guiness and other European ales on tap. Nice selection of wines too. Say hi to Judah, Gail & family and help support Altadena!“

“This place is such a hidden gem! The food exceeded all my expectations—grilled skewers are juicy and well-seasoned, and the stir-fried noodles have perfect texture. Service was attentive, our order came out fast and the workers were polite. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, really a great spot for casual meals with family or friends. 10/10, I’ll be a regular customer from now on!“

“I love the food here. Everything was delicious. We ordered the bread and butter, the kale salad, the clams and mussels, and spaghetti. The spaghetti noodles are made in-house. The butter is made in-house. The kale salad was soo good. The clams and mussels were in a very delicious sauce. We will be back!“
“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. “This bar is pretty chill. I've come in a couple of times with my man-friend to play pool. We usually stop by the bar to grab a couple beers first and the bartenders are always quick to greet us and take our order. Drinks are reasonably priced. There are 2 pool tables in the back of the bar where you can add yourself to a list and get in on some games. One of the times we went there was live music playing. The atmosphere is pretty chill and inviting and for the most part the bar was clean overall. We definitely plan to come back!“

I’m not only if she friendly and acknowledges any and every person who walks in she’s not like other bartenders I’ve seen other establishments who are on their phone more than they are working. She brings in a collective of different patrons all friendly Never once not felt safe when I am there It’s a shame the other Bartenders at this places sister establishment in Covina were as well Trained as Rosie. “It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit. I must say the decor is exactly as I remembered. Took 3 minutes to be seated then we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive waiter I’ve EVER had at any restaurant . I’m a huge lover of the cabbage salad so I gorged on a big bowl before dinner. I ordered a medium rare fillet and potato and it was cooked to perfection. I so wish I lived nearby as I would pay it a regular visit. I’m so glad the Clearmans Northwoods inn has not been changed.“

“We tried this little bar while we were visiting friends in the Uptown Whittier area. It's an eclectic little cocktail lounge with speakeasy vibes. We loved the decor and the ambience was great with dimmed soft red lights that made the place very relaxing. They had happy hour going on and we tried the queso con chorizo dip. It came really hot so it was watery and when we tried it, it was oily and mushy. However, once it cooled, the dish was solidified and the flavors really merged and popped- the oaxaca cheese, poblano peppers, and chorizo really blended together into a delicious dish. I highly recommend you try it! They have specialty drinks but carry a full bar and can make many other drinks. I really enjoyed their specialty drinks although they were very small. We spent about an hour there, then headed to dinner with friends. The staff was great and attentive. They were very nice and really explained their menu. It was a cute little place that were definitely visiting again when we're in town.“

“I stopped by Maggie’s Pub & Banquet Hall and it feels like a classic neighborhood pub with a lot more space than you’d expect. The place is pretty big, with a large bar area and a separate banquet hall that’s often used for parties and events. It has that relaxed, old-school pub vibe where people come to watch sports, grab drinks, and hang out with friends.
The menu is mostly comfort bar food. I tried a fish and chips plate and some wings, and they were solid—simple, satisfying, and perfect with a cold beer. Some popular items here include seafood dishes, sandwiches, and classic pub plates like prime rib or pastrami sandwiches.
One thing that stands out is the venue size. The banquet hall can host large events with hundreds of guests, so the place often holds parties, comedy nights, or special celebrations.

“The setting is great; I really like the atmosphere.
The food was delicious—I especially enjoyed the fried chicken strips and another dish whose name I can't recall. We also ordered beer, and it tasted great.
The two drinks we ordered weren't worth it, though; the beer was the better choice.
Parking downstairs is convenient too: it's free for the first 90 minutes, and $4.50 per hour after that.“

“Amazing service came with my family to celebrate my birthday. Our waiter was exceptional Yamileth took care of everything my family is a little picky so we had a lot of substituting items which she gladly did with no issues.
