“I love this place, the family is so incredibly nice.
I usually get a #5 beef/chicken combo, extra veg, teriyaki and curry sauce on the side. It's a lot of food so I try my best to eat half for 2 lunches. Their ice tea is good, most places tend to have a dish rag taste.ive been going there for over 30yrs and it's always the same delicious quality. Unlike fast food chains that charge more and more with quality dropping every year.

“So I’ve been driving by this place for over 20 years and never bothered to stop by. Today, my partner mentioned this place and I said okay let’s check it out.
My partner loved his chicken and veggie bowl. It was well worth the $12.99. There were actual veggies and not just cabbage ( broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, cauliflower and carrots) perfectly cooked/steamed. Chicken to veggies ratio was just right and I mean damn there was so much my partner left a few pieces. Normally he takes some of my chicken since it’s never enough. Hands down will return for the chicken and veggie bowl.
I ordered the chicken plate which comes with a green salad. Well worth the $14.99.

Next time I’ll try their teriyaki burger, maybe 😜

The texture is unbelievably tender and smooth, not a bit rubbery. You can tell it’s made with care. The chicken skin has a lovely, subtle gelatinous quality, and when you pair it with the fragrant rice and the incredible house-made chili and ginger scallion sauces… it’s just perfection. Don’t sleep on their other dishes, either. The potato noodles come in a massive, steaming clay pot with a soup base that’s both spicy and deeply flavorful. The fried buns are golden, crispy little clouds of goodness. The atmosphere is super casual and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly. “the restaurant is super clean. If you show up thinking you're going to order Orange chicken, Broccoli beef, kung pao chicken or any of that chinese fast food then this is not the place for you. BUT if you're looking for some delicious mouth watering dumplings cooked in various forms then you're at the CORRECT place. I brought my mom here and we tried the pork chive regular dumplings, the pan fried beef and cumin dumplings and the regular fried rice. All of it was delicious. Also they give you a complimentary bowl of egg drop corn soup. NOT a small bowl but a good size portion, it was GOOOOOD. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family and I want to try the beef noodle soup. DON'T fall asleep on the fried rice.“

“I ordered the Sichuan Spicy Beef, and it was really good. The soup was flavorful and spicy, and the beef was tender. I also liked the shredded tofu inside because it soaked up the soup very well. “This is my OG favorite Thai spot starting way back in 2007 when I moved to Pasadena! I recently went back to give it another try and it's as good as I remember, prices are now considered reasonable and even good especially the lunch specials, and everything still tastes fresh and high quality. Even some of the servers are still some of the original servers from 2007! They said they love working there. The inside is unique, used to be a wall of empty frames but they made it a bit more artsy but definitely eclectic! They also have if you dishes that are not straight tie but Singaporean or Malaysian. A lunch special for two and both of us getting one iced coffee and one Thai tea came out to a whopping ;-) $40. I think that's super reasonable for high quality Thai food and the drinks added $10. “My family and I love your food. There are only two things I don’t like. The first is that the rice is very sticky, to the point that it’s difficult to separate when eating. The second is that they put too much cabbage, which honestly doesn’t have much flavor. My recommendation is to replace it with something else.
Other than that, the food is very tasty. This is just a suggestion, made with all due respect.“

“We were hungry and after checking out the food court decided to find another restaurant, and this is just outside of the mall.
The chefs are cooking the Udon noodles in huge Pots and their style is the subway way 🥪 but noodle style.
We got the traditional beef and beef curry 🍜 with Gyoza.
The Udon was tender and chewy and the broth was not too light but had enough richness to it tastes so good. The curry was good and not too spicy, with the meat just hit the spot.
Plenty of seating inside plus outside seating as well.
Ran very efficiently cause during busy lunch Rush the customers went in n out so plenty seats available.“

“Visited Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle for the first time this weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is located in the plaza on the corner of Atlantic and Garvey, with plenty of parking.

The menu is simple and straight forward. You start by choosing the desired soup base (bone broth, tomato, hot & sour, spicy) and then the protein offered under your desired soup base. If you wish to order additional toppings; there is a list of add-on you can pick from. The restaurant gives you the option to order using the QR code taped on the table or with the staff member. Soon after placing the order, they bring out the toppings to the dish, which consists of your desired meat, lettuce, generous portion of rice noodles, tofu, ham, green onion, seaweed, wood ear mushroom, corn, egg, etc. Lastly the soup base is served and you add the add all the toppings to your soup.

I ordered the tomato soup with sliced brisket; love the strong tomato flavor in the broth. If you are a tomato lover, this is the soup base to order.

Will definitely be coming back to try the other soup bases.“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“

Going back to my server; she greeted me right away, noticed it was my first time, and literally WALKED me through how to order. “Felt like I’d stepped into a time capsule when I walked in and got a large cup of boba milk tea for 2.99. Those are 2010 prices in 2026!! The drink itself was simple and not anything outstanding or gimmicky like those overpriced fancy boba drinks you might find elsewhere nowadays. “I’ve been coming to Savoy Kitchen for a long time, and it’s still one of my go-to spots in the area. We ordered a spread of classics during our last visit, and while the food is still generally good, a few things felt a bit different this time around.

​The Hainan Chicken Rice is what put them on the map. The chicken itself remains incredibly tender and juicy, and the trio of sauces still hits the spot. However, the chicken-to-rice ratio was definitely off on this visit—there was a mountain of rice but a pretty small portion of chicken. More importantly, the rice lacked that incredibly rich, savory chicken broth flavor that used to make Savoy stand out from every other spot. It tasted a bit more muted than before.

​Luckily, the other dishes we tried held up their end of the bargain:

​The Bread: Served fresh and nicely seasoned, though it was on the denser side rather than being light and airy. Still good for snacking on or soaking up extra sauce, just heavier than expected.

​Chicken Pasta: A comforting, simple dish with plenty of tender chicken strips tossed in a light, savory broth.

​BBQ Chicken Pizza: Generously topped with thick slices of chicken, red onions, and plenty of melted cheese.

​Savoy is still a classic, and the meal overall was satisfying. I just really hope they bring back that signature richness to the chicken rice and balance out the portions again!“

Our order: Combination pho, fried rice with shrimp, garlic noodle with chicken, egg rolls, spring rolls with charbroiled beef, vermicelli with chicken, charbroiled beef rice plate, bitter days iced coffee drink. The spring rolls have a bit of fried egg roll wrapper inside to add some crunch. The fried rice uses broken rice with a deep, complex seasoning that's not a salty soy sauce bath, such that the char on the shrimp mingles with the rice and enhances it in a unique way. The base broth is simple and pleasing for people who want it that way, but the fried chili oil and fermented chili paste add heat and complexity to taste.“
