Genes is a place that needs no introduction. In my opinion, this place has the best pastrami in the valley. Anytime I feel like a sub, this is my go to. I had the Meatball today and as expected, it hit. Staff is always friendly. Vibe is Sub shop right out of the 50's. Overall if you want a good sub and are in Monrovia, make sure you stop in.

I took the recomendation from the house...a pastrami grinder,excellent! Flavor,well balance ingredients and the pastrami on point....I went at the last hour of their day and still great sandwich. I'm first timer but can tell they take care of their product. AAAA++++

Food is good. A little pricey. The busier they are, the longer the wait. Online orders are possible, but give it about 20 minutes before you go pick it up.
*Edit* I can't quit this place, and have added a star to my original 4 star review. I discovered that if you ask them to add salt and pepper (the condiments, not the 80's girl band) in the making of the sandwich - it makes them extra delicious. Also, I just order after their lunch rush to get a sandwich now and it's ready faster.
