set a timer. sat outside on a Sunday, shouldn't be too busy, just wanted a beer. 20 min. later. no server, no beer, and just waiting. there is a patio up the street with several patrons. Maybe they want customers.
Had the absolute best time here. The staff was attentive and welcoming. How welcoming you might ask? So welcoming that a gentleman that wasn't even on the clock anymore went out of his way to make sure that my son and I were properly taken care of. That speaks volumes about his work ethic and the culture this place has cultivated. The food was great and the drinks were awesome . Do yourself a favor and come check this place out

Nice menu with a decent happy hour. Previous reviews that I read said fish and chips were really good, but in my opinion are a one star. Very large pieces of fish with a nice crispy exterior, but the fish itself was like pudding total mush. The tartar sauce was plain, no pickles/relish. Was very disappointed. French fries were so so also not crispy. The staff was nice with speedy and exceptional service.

The food is good here. You have to select from the menu or know the menu here to know what to order. The atmosphere is excellent here. The service here is excellent. The beer on draft is better than your average pub. The menu has changed somewhat from the past. There are no British offerings, but they do offer a good selection of pseudo Italian pseudo Mexican pseudo Mediterranean offerings. This pub is located in Old Town, Monrovia which is an excellent spot to take a date. Take your significant other to take children. A lot of window shopping. Ice cream parlors confectionary shops. There's a park and it's a very picturesque and quaint architecture

5 stars for the food, 1 star for the restroom. Make sure you “go” before you come here. Cuz if you need to pee, good luck. The restroom is horrendous. It has graffiti, filth, and is held up by little more than duck tape. BUT!! The Food is AMAZING!! Why, oh why, should the restroom not match?! The ironies of life.
Btw I came here with my 12 year old daughter and wife. They feel the same way.

We seated ourselves, because no one help us at the front, we were sitting for 9 minutes no one came to the table but they kept passing by. Two gentleman came and sat in the booth behind us after we were sitting and still waiting, the girls came to their table and help them out first so my wife and I decided to get up and walk out and that’s when they finally acknowledge us , a little to late . The service there use to be good but has gone down tremendously. Time to look for another pub.

Unfortunately the vibe has totally changed since they fired the entire staff who worked there for over 10 years. The new crew seems nice, but nowhere near as personable or “fun” as the old crew. I don’t get that same hometown feel that I used to — it feels transactional.
London used to be PACKED on Fridays and some Saturdays but now every time I walk by, it’s dead.
I’ve popped in during the day a couple times and the vibe is pretty stale. It’s no longer the place to catch a game or celebrate a birthday.
Also, the Jukebox seems to prevent you from playing anything other than country music. Seems like they are only welcoming a specific crowd during daytime hours.
It’s unfortunate because I know there were issues with the party getting too much out of hand in the past, but I don’t think that was the bartenders’ fault.
Yes, the old bartenders poured with a heavy hand, but if I’m the owner, I’d rather keep my seats full with patrons who are ordering food and multiple drinks versus an empty bar where the drinks are overpriced and watered down (compared to the other bars nearby) — to where this just becomes a place to “stop in for 1 drink” rather than hang out all night with your friends.
R.I.P. to London because it’s dead in the hearts of hundreds of Monrovians.

Came for a late lunch on a Saturday. Sky, the waitress, was very attentive to everyone's needs.
Food was very good. Had the Buffalo wings and fries. Wings were crispy and fries were a decent size.

I've been going to londons pub off and on for about 5 years now. Back in the day they had some of the best fish and chips in the San Gabriel Valley. However times seem to have changed. I had the fish and chips some months back and they came out crunchy on the outside but with a real sogginess inside. Now in hoping that the cook was having bad day and this was a one off I decided to withhold judgement until I gave em one more shot. Which I did this past weekend bringing my family along, we all ordered the fish and chips and boy was it not enjoyable. Same complaint the sogginess of the fish was frankly off putting. Well they still make solid cocktails and the music is on point, stay away from the fish and chips.

The service was great, but there were some issues with the food. People at our table who got anything fried (the fish and chips and the french fries) noticed that the oil taste was very strong and unpleasant. It tasted like the oil it was fried in hadn’t been changed in a while. Someone at our table got a coke but had to ask for a new one twice because she kept finding solid particulates floating at the top of her glass. I got the chicken sandwich and it was very good, but after heating up the other half to eat the next day I was left with a stomach ache. The atmosphere and decor is great, but the lighting was too dark. The music selection was great, but too loud. Our server was fantastic though and was attentive to people’s needs. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Fireball shot was excellent. Overall I’d say if you’re going here to drink you should go for it, but I might pass on the food.
