I miss the old Monrovian it will never be the same, now you guys look like every restaurant on myrtle and sadly the food is extremely over priced and totally different I won't ever go back again goodbye old monrovian :(

The Monrovia underwent a remodel, and what a change. The restaurant feels more like a sit down experience with an open, friendly environment. Menu is not extensive but hits all the basics and delivers the flavor. A large pizza oven sits out in the open promising authentic pies and a great talking piece. Some of the staff is new but a few veterans are on the floor giving great service (shout out to Derrick). Gluten free options are available and it is right next to one of Monrovia's parking lots. We came for the brunch, we'll come back for the service and Saturday happy hour!

The bakery is excellent, Was walking in old downtown, and saw on the menu they had grits ! ! One of my favorites for breakfast...just had to try them When delivered to the table, I asked if that was mine ? I thought it was soup After one spoon, I knew someone doesn't know how to make something as simple as grits ! ! ! it was disgusting, it was something I could have slurped threw a straw! ! (and not even a boba straw) After tasting it I sent them back, I assumed they would have adjusted my bill accordingly, but instead just said "I'm sorry you didn't like it" To me that's not good customer service

Wow. This place is amazing, and right across from my office. We ordered the pancake breakfast, fancy pancakes, veggie omelette and mixed berry croissant For someone who doesn't love potatoes, they were the best I've had. The pancakes were perfect, and the fancy pancakes were amazing Veggie omelette has pesto in it, so delicious Definitely give this place a try I'm gonna be a regular

Amazing tuna sandwich, with hand made pita! Good pizza, hand made brick oven. Fresh ingredients, Srgt. Peppa. Spicy meatball pizza is really good too!!!. Freshly squeezed orange and great fruit juice. Great service and outdoor seating. Indoor is spacious and clean, beautiful. Highly recommended if near Monrovia! Sorry the last photo was the tuna sandwich, gone.

We've always passed by this place going to other restaurants and had on our list to try. Saw the HH sign outside and it was meant to be as we eat at odd hours. Not sure why we thought it's be an old diner but quite the contrary it was modern and roomy. Full bar and plenty of seating. Service (particularly Alex our waiter) was great and food equally good! Check out the photos for what we order. I'd recommend everything except the regular wings coz it's a bit too sour for my taste. I prefer the spicy ones. Pizza and BLAT / BALT (they should rename this) we're delicious! Decent Happy Hour with $2 off cocktails and some discounted food items. It's all about the cocktails for me.

This restaurant is situated in the heart of Myrtle Avenue in downtown Monrovia. They have indoor, outdoor and bar seating. Every table provides a clear view of the amazing Pizza oven and big screens. The restaurant is decorated with old time nostalgia of Monrovia and thematic artwork. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike. I had the Paloma and the breakfast steak and eggs as well as a beet salad side. My friend tried the the bacon and eggs as well as a side of meatballs. They were all fantastic. The main course ingredients were prepared as ordered and attractively presented. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The chefs used the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. The restaurant also offers a wonderful drink menu, and some of the best wines in the region. The bartender Chris is amazing. The speciality cocktails, drinks and whisky flights surely worth sampling. The service was of the highest quality. It seemed to me that the waiters were very engaged and interested in their jobs. Our waiter David seemed very warm and thoughtful. He came around to check on our experience and seemed to be authentically interested in our dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming to folks of all ages. Their home made mouth watering pastry selections are beautifully presented!

Really casual spot for brunch/ lunch. Came on Mother's Day with my partner's family. Crowded and bustling but was able to snatch a table outside. I ordered the BISCUITS & GRAVY. It was the largest biscuit I had ever seen. LOL I couldn't finish it, but it was delicious. I've heard great things about their pizza, will definitely come back to try it. ENJOY!

I love this place. Fresh baked goodies. A full bar. A wood fire pizza oven...need I say more? The pizza you should eat there to fully appreciate the crust. It's so dang good.

We haven't eaten at The Monrovian in years. The last time we came was years ago with our fur baby for some outdoor dining. I'm glad we can back recently for dinner. The restaurant is loud, but our toddler didn't seem to mind (also entertained with tv). We came 45 minutes before closing, but they happily served us and service was prompt/adequate. Our server mentioned he was new, but he was very nice and personable. BBQ Chicken Pizza - 5/5 Hubby ordered it without onion (I'm sure it would have tasted better with). The pizza was thin crust and VERY thin - amazing. You could see the dough being tossed and put into their pizza oven (you can also see the oven when you walk past the restaurant, which is always fun). Pesto Chicken Pasta - 4/5 There was so much flavor, but a little too much garlic for my toddler. It also came with a piece of bread garlic bread, which was also pretty good. We ate too much pizza and ended up taking half of the pasta home. (I appreciate the portion size because leftovers are also great, especially pasta leftovers). Sweet Potato Fries - 4/5 I was also surprised by the portion size of the sweet potato fries. We enjoyed maybe half with some ranch. These were so good and my toddler enjoyed dipping them in sauce. Overall, food and service were pretty good. Next time I come back, I want to try happy hour specials.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch around 12pm and we got seated right away. We passed by the pastry section on our way in and everything looked delicious. Ordered: Chicken wings, Kale & barley salad, Pennywise pizza, Spaghetti & meatballs, and then we also ordered the Zucchini bread and the Bailey's cupcake. The chicken wings were SO good. They looked dry, but they were juicy and tasty. The kale & barley salad was also super scrumptious. It was pretty filling and tasted nutritious. Pennywise pizza was also another hit. It has a bit of a kick to it so order this if you like something a little spicy. I noticed that the crust from the pizza was moist, soft, and chewy - which was great because some pizzas crusts tend to be dry and hard. Both the Zucchini bread and Bailey's cupcake were delectable. The only thing I would not order again was the spaghetti & meatballs. The noodles were meh and it didn't have enough sauce so we had to ask for extra sauce. However, the meatballs in that dish were amazing! So I'd probably order the meatballs by itself. I would definitely go back to try new dishes and probably some of the same dishes that I've already tried since they were memorable.

Not sure about the rest of the restaurant but the pastries are to die for! I've tried a few so far and my current favorites are the honey croissant bread pudding and the zucchini bread, which are both deliciously drool-worthy. But everything I've tried thus far have been at least good if not incredible. Seriously, I have not disliked any of the desserts I purchased so far. So as you can tell, I'm definitely of fan of their bakery, but one of these days I'll have to check out the actual restaurant/ bar too. ********************* My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Will definitely return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around eating here
